A good coach understands that and schemes to his ability. Plenty of wideouts without a fast first step have flourished in the league. Scheme and effort have to be married together. I like Nabers game but the immaturity and mouth sour me on him a bit. 1 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted September 26 Posted September 26 How little respect do you have to have for an opponents defense to call an orbit motion 7 yards deep in your backfield and still pitch it to that side? Quote

The difference between a guy who has been great at everything since little league, called the best high school football player in Texas history, drafted in two professional sports leagues and a guy who had to scratch and claw every step of the way to get to where he is. Sometimes the struggle builds character. Edited September 26 by thenorthremembers Quote

Sometimes the struggle builds character. With Murray, that's half of it. The other half is that he need to be at least 3 inches taller. Linemen are tall and he can't see over them. 1 Quote

I seem to remember Orlovsky saying that Smith would have gone number one overall in this past draft if he was eligible. Not sure about that, but the guy has freakish talent. Quote

With Murray specifically, when the team puts an addendum in your contract requiring you to study film and stating that video games don't count you may have a problem. Especially when he signs the contract not even realizing the details would be released. 1 Quote

His major issue is he hasn't grown the mental side of his game enough to overcome the height. Hes the same guy he was in year 1 and 2. If he could read a defense both pre and post snap the height would be less of a factor. Quote

Can’t think who else is on the same trajectory as his for the 2027 draft. He’s stand-alone at the position for that class right now. Quote
thenorthremembers Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Arizonas offensive coordinator is horrendous. No motion. No moving players around. Cant block so he spreads the offense out and hopes luck will change it. May as well just run screens to Dortch all game. Its the only play he has thay gains yards. 1 Quote
