SCBills Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Is this legit or a mirage? New Jersey has been moving more to the right in recent years, but is still (I think) a 4-5 point Dem advantage. Would have to be a Glenn Youngkin type campaign, which is tough to do in a midterm year where R’s control the Presidency.

She’s a sharp lady with a very impressive résumé, but she’s also unable to control her grotesque impulses. It will be interesting, but I’m not hopeful at all.
LeviF Posted September 25 Posted September 25 All depends on how well Sherrill’s really astounding gaffes can be weaponized against her. Mirage currently but with some money the pressure can really be ramped up leading up to Election Day.

Ciattarelii's campaign messaging has focused on addressing the problem. Murphy and the legislature did pass some tax relief legislation designed to assist seniors but that isn't much help to everyone else owning property. The question there is how to continue funding the program. Sherrill’s campaign is targeting the issue of high electric rates. I didn't really notice much difference in my bill from this year to last year. And of course there's the traditional political campaign messaging from both side telling the voters how terrible the other person is and how great they are in comparison. 1 1

Problem is all of her "solutions" provide a band aid whilst ensuring that energy prices continue to go up (way up) in the long run. But band aids and gibs are enough to get the vote out from the demos that vote 95% Dem regardless.
Another Fan Posted September 25 Posted September 25 In 2021 the polls had Murphy way ahead of Jack and it was a very close election

I’m still pretty cynical to what Jack can get done. I’m cynical with all politicians though. But I like how he visits diners across the state and talks to real people to see what they feel. Not the online think tanks/echo chambers. Like what is Sherrill doing in this regard? 10 minutes ago, Gregg said: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/sherrill-ciattarelli-tied-in-new-jersey-governor-s-race-poll/ar-AA1Nh1gG?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=68d54b4403e14d2da343d2907b23a92f&ei=15 Sherrill = Kamala of NJ. I don’t think she’s as bad as Kamala but yeah I agree with that 2

SCBills Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 This probably won’t help her.. And it’s all over X.. not just a Fox-centric story.
Orlando Buffalo Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I don't trust the polls ever but especially for NJ unless the people of NJ realize how bad she is. 1

The Frankish Reich Posted October 2 Posted October 2 If I lived in a state like NJ (and I have: California), I would typically vote for the Republican for Governor. I would (and have) done that in my current Colorado too, but the Republicans keep nominating absolute clowns. Is Sherrill the better candidate overall? Sure. (The Annapolis thing seems to be about her violating the honor code by not ratting out other students. Not great, but not like cheating herself.) Does there need to be a check on Democrats at the state level? Absolutely.
Tenhigh Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Her being a helicopter pilot is to politics what Fitz going to Harvard is to football. Enough already with the commercials.
