Anyone here think the Giants can pull off the upset this Sunday night and put KC in an 0-3 hole. I would love to see it.

The Chiefs can lose to anyone. They only play close games. They easily could have been 10-7 last year and lost to teams like the Panthers and Raiders.

Whatever dark magic that got them some of those wins seems to have disappeared this season. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Giants hang with them. That Giants d-line could really mess things up.

I wouldn't count the Chiefs out at all! They played a good game missing two of their starting WR's and a rookie Guard. Their O will improve no doubt. Their Defense looks top 5. They are hitting hard. Remember Baltimore started 0-2 last year???

But the perception is different because the Chiefs two years in a row had a very average offense.  Now year 3, it's continuing.

Then they just came off of the most embarrassing Super Bowl performance of all time.

They’re the kind of bad team that has a chance but I def wouldn’t bet on it lol. Their front 7 should be solid this year.

I still can't believe they lost after taking a 37-34 lead with 25 seconds left in the game. But after 13 seconds I guess anything is possible. It also didn't hurt Dallas that they have a kicker who can probably make a 70-yard FG. That 64 yarder he made would have been good from 70.

Definitely not advocating for counting them out but I don’t think either of those receivers will be 100% this year after returning.  Sounds like worthy will have to play in a brace which is pretty tough.  Not sure when he’ll be able to take it off.

the chargers rematch is such a massive game for them…if they lose that one they’ve gotta make up 4 games the rest of the schedule somehow.  Even if they turn it around that’ll be a tall order

I hear what you are saying - but it doesn't make sense to me. Why do they have to make up 4 games?? All they need to do is get in. Simple as that. Seven teams make the playoffs and they need to be one. And they will be there...

They need to win 4 more games than the Chargers in the remaining schedule to win the division if they lose their next Chargers matchup. It would make it very likely the Chargers win the division in that scenario. Obviously the Chiefs could still get in as a wild card.

Wildcard is a tougher road to get in and much tougher path once you’re in.  And fighting for a division title/wildcard spot down the stretch takes a lot out of your team I think that gets overlooked a bit.  Look at what’s going on already mahomes is taking an obscene amount of hits.  They almost always have a bye and/ or just coast down the stretch but now they’ll pretty likely be playing playoff-style football for an extra month with no bye the first round of the playoffs

I think 7 teams have won the Super Bowl as a wildcard in like 45+ years and two involving tom Brady were pretty much flukes 😂 that Bucs team was disgustingly stacked but it took Brady a bit of time to adjust to his new team so they probably should’ve been a division winner and I still have no flippin idea how the giants beat the pats in that 08 Super Bowl lol.

the big thing for me and I’ve heard mahomes say it himself…he saves a lot of these big scrambling plays for the playoffs typically but this year he’s goin all out early to carry the offense and it’s still been a struggle so far

im not trying to say they’re done at all haha I just think they’re not as superhuman as people think either.  They did win a few road playoff games a few years ago but they were the 3 seed and rested guys down the stretch it wasn’t like they were the 6-7 seeds or something.  that seems to be how people talk about it haha

Not that they are the same. But didn't the Patriots do this once, then go on to like 14-2 and win the SB?

They started 2-2 and got blown out on primetime by the Alex Smith Andy Reid chiefs that year.

Beat the Seahawks in the SB 2014.

Lots of games to be played so no one knows yet.

Can't tell me starting 0-2 is meaningless.

I can probably bet that IF the Chiefs lose to Bills and Ravens, they won't be #1 seed.

IF that happens, they most likely will be in a dog fight to win their division.

It definitely hurts them since the Chargers are 2-0 in their division..that means they are already 2 games behind their division rival.   There are no easy wins in the AFC West.

Sheesh.

Teams like the Chiefs and the Bills are dead until they are actually dead.

This is a great year for a bad start: KC is pursuing its fourth-straight SB appearance. If they make it and even lose, having won 2 titles will render the Bills' 90s streak a much lesser accomplishment.

Lots of season left and as much as I hate them, I won't rule them out, but I think we'd all agree this THE year we all pray they miss it. So far, so good...

Everyone is chalking that up as a win for Kc after Russell Wilson had almost 500 yards passing on Sunday. The giants D is nasty too.

Chiefs can’t run, or protect Mahomes. And it’s in NJ? I don’t think it’s a gimmie win for KC

I hope you are right. The one thing the Giants have to do is stop it with the stupid penalties. They had something like 15 penalties totaling 150 yards or so. It's impossible to win with that many penalties.

No they will make the playoffs. Their coaching staff is too good and Mahomes will bounce back especially when he has his #1 WR back. I just don't buy this narrative that starting 0-2 doesn't matter because something something the Patriots. They have some pretty fundamental issues on both sides of the ball. The whole right side of the OL is a mess. They can't run the ball. They have no difference making skill players. Their secondary is McDuffie and a bunch of JAGs. Their front 4 is middling. It is not just a case of sloppy play from a bored team where you can see an obvious path for improvement. Those fundamental issues are going to be there all year.

If the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl out of the AFC, that is a massive massive failure on the part of Buffalo and Baltimore. Both teams, especially us, have had their opportunities to block the dynasty but have failed to make the plays to close out those games. KC has also out-coached both teams in those games. This year I am very confident that both rosters and both QBs are better than their counterparts in KC. It seems likely that KC will end up in a divisional dogfight until the end of the season which means they won't be able to rest anybody and may enter the playoffs as a wildcard. I'm not counting them out but I'm also not going to pretend they have some magical aura around them that means these issues don't matter.

Yeah for real.

like I know we all want to believe the wicked witch is dead. But I wouldn’t think our season is over at 0-2.

It’s not over until they are mathematically eliminated.

Is anyone gonna feel good if the Chiefs limp in as a 7th seed coming to Buffalo in the WC round?

I think they will make the playoffs too. But I think there are issue and I think they extend to coaching. Especially on the offensive side where their guys just do not look well coached or coordinated right now. The offense is positively Dorseyish.

If they limp in? Yea. I'll feel pretty good. As they are currently constituted they would not beat the Bills. Now if they suddenly get healthy (especially on offense) and run the 2nd half of the table and get in as a WC.... then sure, I'd be a little nervous.

They better fix the offense if they want to beat the Ravens and Lions as both of those teams put up a lot of points. The Chiefs defense is very good, but they will need help from the offense in those games.

Getting their top receivers back would probably help the offense. If they can get to 3-3 by the time Rice gets back they’ll still be a threat.

Andy Reid has been scheming guys open, Mahomes just isn't hitting on schedule throws at the clip he's capable of. I've seen him overthrow a bunch of wide open WRs downfield in the first two games. If any improvement is coming, his play is where it it will come from. The run game I think they are just sunk. It's all JAG RBs and the IOL has taken a step back.

On defense Spags has definitely been floundering a bit. It kind of reminds me of McDermott when he was our acting DC in 2023, where we just kept blitzing over and over again because we had no other answers and opposing offenses were killing us for it. Spags knows his base front 4 can't get pressure and his back end can't hold up. So he is resorting to the same tactic and equally getting killed for it. The offense can get significantly better, at least the passing offense. The defense however I'm not really sure that it can.
