I second that! It's phenomenal...also a small place on Grand Island is really great too, can't remember the name. Quote

BillsfaninChicago Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) I keep reading the title of this thread like it is a player getting called up from a practice squad to the 53 man roster lol Edited September 19 by BillsfaninChicago Quote

I mean, I'd guess that the Packers, Steelers, and Cowboys in some order are at or near the top of the list. Do you think the Bills are in the top ten? In my experience the members of the Buffalo Diaspora pass the misery on well. Many of the families I know who moved away have kids/grandkids that are now diehards with no time in Western NY. Quote

I have several college buddies from NYC/Long Island whose children were raised Bills fans even though they never lived in WNY... simply because of their parents' experiences when they were college students in Buffalo. It's pretty amazing when you think about it. Quote
Georgia Bill Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Glad you got to witness a W in the home stadium! Hope you had a great time with all your Buffalo Bills brethren. 1 Quote

Hellcamino Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 Wow! What a day! Game was a little spicier than we had hoped but we won so thats Ok! Hammers Lot was fun! Condiment ceremony was pretty wild. the old stadium was everything I imagined it would be and to be honest, a little nicer than I expected. Many people here have had so many complaints about it over the years, I expected it to be very “rustic” It actually felt pretty modern. Although WTF is up with the sound system? You couldn’t hear anything announced or played on scoreboard at all. And when music was played it had a ridiculously loud slap back echo. I’m an audio engineer so It really bugged me. Lol is that normal here? 4 3 Quote
EssexBill Posted September 19 Posted September 19 First time poster here, glad you had an excellent trip, I myself am preparing for my first ever visit to Rich Stadium this coming Sunday v Saints. Coming all the way from the UK having followed the bills since 1989 (I'm 47) and will have a British flag with Go bills on it, so if anyone sees me please come say hi as I'll be on my own (having finally grown weary of friends promising they would to the US with me and then flaking out). Go bills! 3 8 Quote

That's No Moon Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Went to Glen Park Tavern tonight. Sweet feathery Christ. I'd be 700 lbs if I lived here again. Happy, but 700 lbs. 3 Quote

I was a poor boy when I lived in Clarence. I did march at halftime in the first season but it was so terribly cold we left right after our performance. Then off to College and then to a Dallas. 1 Quote
