Chef's.

It never disappoints.

We went to Chef’s last Saturday for my first time ever. I think my parents went almost weekly, and never once took me. I think it’s where they went to get away from me!   🤣

I admitted I was surprised by how big it was. I’ve had this image in my mind for decades of a quint little joint with red and white tablecloths. Well, they had the tablecloths, but they could feed quite a crowd there! Glad we went.

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is fantastic - actually the best I've been to outside of DC. It's a beautiful building too.
Kuni's has some of the best sushi I've had anywhere.
If the Bisons are playing, it's always a fun time to go to the ball park and tickets are cheap.
Tour the marina if the ships are open again - they've been under repair for a few years.
Go to Ted's for a Sahlen's Hot Dog - The best in the country as far as I've had.

If by never you mean always, I agree!

Most overrated Italian restaurant ever. Sauce is sweet.

Buffalo sauce tends to be on the sweet side, especially on pizza. My wife got meatballs with sauce at a place in Niagara on the Lake and then again at Chef’s. She did mention it was sweet, and when we got home she had me shopping for San Marzano D.O.P. tomatoes so we could make the sauce perfect for us using a base recipe we got at a cooking class in Rome a couple years ago. So simple, but so delicious when done right.

The best foods are the one’s exactly the way you like them, and the best way to do that is if you can make it yourself.

I grew up in Tonawanda so any trip back to Buffalo means Ted's Hotdogs and Anderson's frozen custard on Sheridan Dr.  Check out a Wegman's grocery store but don't blame me if you never look at your regular grocery store the same again.   Duff's has good wings and we love Bocce pizza.  The Canadian side of the Falls is touristy but nice.  Need passports or birth certs for the kids, the customs people on the Canadian side of the Peace Bridge always seem to channel their inner Mossad when we go across.  The Maid of the Mist is really cool.  Hope you have a great time!

Wegmans really isn’t anything special anymore, sadly :(

Sadly, if you’ve spent any time at my grocery stores, Wegmans is a very big deal and an enormous upgrade for most of us. My wife was just trying to explain it to her brother. That alone says something.

Zweigle's White Hots hands down.  But - I get it.  It's a Rochester thing.
