  1. 1. How will you feel about Keon after the season?

    • Superstar- Beane hit a home run. Bonafide WR1
    • Very happy with his progression. Definitely worth draft position.
    • Jury is still out- he was ok but was hoping for more.
    • Could be a bust but there was some evidence that he could improve
    • 🗑️ He trash

I wasn’t sure how to word the poll, but settled on this one.  I considered “will he breakout”, “will you regard him as a stud WR etc..  Each seemed so subjective. So I went with this.  I know you’ll probably prefer some different options to vote for, but this is it.  Look into the crystal ball and discuss one of the most polarizing (imo) players on the Bills.

Last year I had projected a breakout into the top 5 TEs for Dalton Kincaid.  🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m feeling the same about Keon this year- not too 5 or anything crazy, but a sizable improvement.

I’ve been reading a lot of players and media members mentioning how Keon looks much improved when compared to last year.  Is this just “players talk”, propping up their teammates?  Will his added strength allow him to get off the line with ease?  Has he become a better route runner?  Or is it just hype?

I had initially predicted he’d finish with 51- 825-6.  My thoughts were that Palmer would have similar stats and Shakir would up his catches and yards by around 10%.  Currently thinking Shakir will be just about the same as last season and Palmer will go for around 700 or so, leaving room for Keon to snag more targets.

9 days away, I’m thinking that 51-825 is slightly conservative.  Maybe I’m just drinking all the Kool-Aid I’ve consumed, but I don’t think 1000 yards is as far fetched as I had originally thought.  If he plays in 17 games, 69- 1008- 8 (flame away).  Certainly a Kool Aid tainted projection, but I’m feeling it

Just discuss your thoughts on our boy.  He’s the guy I’m most excited about this year and I hope he’s a focal point of our offense.  I’d like to see him targeted more on quick slants and dig routes.  He could be Shakir 2.0 in the way he excels at running after the catch.

I think if he stays healthy he's going to be impressive. One thing he does really well that blends with Josh, is the way he gets open when the play breaks down. He's a great "street ball" WR. I think he's going to be HUGE in those type plays.

If he plays in all 17 games he would only need to average just under 59 yards a game for 1,000 yards. That's definitely possible. I'll say he ends up over that threshold.

I was happy to read about all the praise hes been getting... wish we'd all been able to see it more. Im pretty optimistic all thing Buffalo, and wouldve been really happy having him as a serviceable outside WR... I've raised my expectations a bit, but not too much, prepare for the worst hope for the best seems to serve me well with a polarizing player like Keon.

Man what an absolute shot in the arm it'd be to get last years offense with Kincaid snatching bodies and Keon being even a top 20-30 kinda guy in the NFL.  I gotta say the absolute silence on the team since TC ended has been tough!!!  Ready for real games to get back to flying around!!!

When we drafted him, I figured he’d be the scramble play cheat code.  He had a couple big ones but I was expecting more.  Most of targets should be above average in that category.  So maybe that will limit him some.  Especially our RBs.

I think your optimistic take is probably spot on.   That's if Joe Brady allows josh to throw the ball this year or if we're gonna be mostly a run heavy offense again.

Solid wideout w upside

Great comp 👍🏻 hopefully we don’t think of him in the same way with regards to injury.

Thanks-  Interesting thought.  I think our pass % could tic up some, but won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t due to continued success.  If the run game isn’t as effective as last year- he better pivot

1,000+ yards, with a high YPC

8+ TDS

High quality starting receiver, looking more like the X guy as the season progresses and he does not regress, though he has some drops.

Is known for not letting a bad play get to him, gets right back up and makes big plays

He shall become our Allen Robinson.

Albeit with (hopefully) a more exciting highlight reel 🤣

Felt all TC that Bills are extremely confident in him becoming a true WR1 . That'd make this a helluva WR core, I'm a big Palmer fan and Samuel if healthy and obviously Shakir is a stud

Lol

The run game will be even more pronounced than last year, with Cook continuing his ascent, and ditto for Davis.  And all 3 catching more balls too.

Still shocked to see some disparaging the running game, not seeing with their own eyes what happens when Josh Allen has a complimentary running game that is almost as high level as his passing.

The Bills had the most balanced scoring machine in NFL history last year, the only team ever with 30 rushing and 30 passing touchdowns. Not a coincidence that Josh won the MVP the same year that happened.

If you want the Bills to win this year, you should want them to run the stuffing out of the ball--and not engage in such silly statements as in bold above.

Not disparaging the run but I thought they were a little too conservative at times.   Romo was saying it on almost every broadcast he did of Bills games last year.

Cook is obviosly the second best person on offense behind Josh Allen.  I'd like to see less designed runs with Josh Allen though.  And I'd rather see Ty Johnson on the field instead of Ray Davis.

edit:  I still to this day hate that Brady will absolutely never dial up a pass play on second and short.

It's a weird one with Keon. I finally watched the latest Hard Knocks and was struck that through 4 episodes we've seen nothing of hi. I really thought he'd be the star of the show. I wonder why he hasn't been featured - is he so much about being all business that he wanted zero distractions?

Also just watched Dawkins' interview on first things first and was shocked by how he talked about Keon. "I've never seen a jump from year 1 to year 2 that I've seen with him", "the rest of the league is going to be shocked".

I watched his off season training video and did get excited about this year, hope he can deliver somewhat on what Dawkins was saying. What he lacks in speed he can make up for in strength with those contested catches, and it'd be great to see him start to be a dominant player that draws attention away fro the rest of the wideouts and allows them to make their own fair share of plays.

As to the question, I don't think superstar but do think we'll be very happy and will see him as well worth his draft position.

I have a slightly unhinged, homeristic theory that McD/Beane won't let HK near him, because they don't want the Ravens to know how good he is.

I never felt that way about Parker 😂

I think I am between #2 and #3 on the options. I expect to be satisfied with his progression and sort of worth the 33rd pick in the draft but still not at the expense of "what they could have won".
