Was Nabers your first pick in that second draft? What pick did you have?

Pick 11, Achane was my first pick given the only other RB for that area was CMC. WRs still had depth so the guy picking 12 and 13 was going to leave one of Amon/Nico/Nabers. He double dipped WR and took Nico/Amon.

Nabers wouldn’t have been my first choice but Giants might be where they were last year and be forced to pass more often than not, Wilson/Winston/Dart is an improvement over Daniel Jones imo so I see him slotting around the same production as last year, if not better.

Draft first 10 went:

1. Chase

2. Bijan

3. Gibbs

4. Jefferson

5. Saquon

6. CeeDee

7. Jeanty

8. Henry

9. Jonathon Taylor (wild)

10. Puka

Has anyone tried the Sleeper App for fantasy football? I started a new 10 league this year that’s 1 ppr, redraft, with blind action waiver wire. I’m 9/10 and we pick tomorrow morning.

I’m also the comish in a 12 ppr, redraft, blind auction waiver, ESPN league. We’ve done this league for over 10 years now, probably close to 15.

After seeing Sleeper, it puts ESPN to shame. I love mock drafting and Sleeper doesn’t great job at it. You can see all of your past mocks, plus invite people into the mock draft, making it easy to practice with others. There is also a feature I’m trying out this year. Everyone in the league has two matchups each week. A regular head to head and then you play against the average score of everyone in the league. So you can go 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2.

I’ve had a lot of fun over the years expanding the playoff field, which keeps just about everyone in the hunt until the very end, so I’m excited to see how things shake out with the two matchups a week.

Sleeper is pretty solid, very clean interface and a load of tools like you’ve mentioned. Really above the rest of the field.

My BML switched there last year. ESPN isn’t that far off, and we’ve used that for 6 years prior.

Yahoo is solid.

NFL Fantasy App is absolutely disgraceful.

Question, how do you go about setting up the 2 matchups per week? That sounds very interesting and more fun for all the prop/side bets for each week!!

James Cook is a tough one for me bc while he is the lead back, Davis and (mainly) Ty Johnson poach a lot of touches in obvious passing situations.  I expect a regression from last year in terms of rushing TDs.  Particularly with JA taking a lot of the goal line touches.  That said, I’d take him as a RB3/flex option in a heartbeat.

The only WR I’d target in later rounds is Keon Coleman who I see an expanded role for this year.  Especially RZ targets.  Wait and see on Shakir.

Shakir I think is a great later round pick because he’s gonna be a very solid flex option

Hey there!  Wanted to send a message about this for a bit but felt dumb starting a thread so thanks so much for pinning this one!  For anybody that's interested, I've had a side project fantasy platform I've been working on and off for around 7 years.  This year it finally launches!

It's called https://www.draftbattle.com/

It's a single week snake draft platform.  I've always hated salary cap DFS and the huge contests with tens of thousands or more people that have millions on the line but you don't win squat if you don't finish in the top 10.  So I created a platform that's strictly snake drafting, but WEEKLY!

So you join any open contest  (mon-thurs up til the TNF game starts) and you draft for only that week.  It's best ball style so all you have to do is draft.  There's no roster management.  You draft 11 rounds and your best 9 man starting lineup is automatically calculated.  Whoever has the highest score after the monday night game(s) of that week, wins.  There are only 8 users per draft so the odds are much better than the big Fanduel/Draft Kings salary cap style contests.  After that week is over you can join a new contest(s) the next week and draft again.  You can join as many contests as you want but only 1 entry per contest.

If anyone wants to sign up, you can use promo code: mafia and it'll deposit $10 bonus cash in your account (bonus cash is non-withdrawable and must be used towards a contest entry).  There's also a refer-a-friend option where you can email a friend to join and you both get $5 bonus cash once the friend signs up.

It's a been a really crazy journey trying to get funding and navigate the industry and understand all of the regulations etc. but we finally made it!

We're members of the FSGA and have partnerships with several companies in the industry like FantasyPros, RotoBaller, Fantasy Alarm, MetaBet and Approvely for payment processing.

Please let me know if you have any questions of issues signing up!

Thanks y'all! Go Bills!

Gotcha, thanks.  I think Taylor will be better with Daniel Jones in there than he would have been with Richardson.  So you passed on CMC twice.  I would have too, but I assume he went right after you took Nabers.

In redraft leagues I liked being toward the end in snake draft. As the ability to get two top 15 talents to me gives you a better chance to be a good/great team. Toss in gives you ability to look at big picture and not necessarily follow trends and sometimes even lead trends to better serve you later when comes to getting depth players.

Agree.  I traded down to 6 pending commish approval.

Matt Stafford uncertainty.  His back injury is fairly significant and will likely impact his mobility in the pocket and throwing mechanics.

12 Team PPR. Redraft Snake league.  Picked at the 12 spot

QB- Burrow

WR- Amon St. Brown

WR- Rome Odunze

RB- Derrick Henry

RB- Isiah Pacheco

TE- George Kittle

Flex- Keon Coleman

D/ST- Ravens

Kicker- Cameron Dicker

Bench:

Rashod Bateman

Chris Godwin

Najee Harris

Tucker Kraft

Caleb Williams

Brandon Aiyuk

Not sure how I feel about my team yet.  Picking at 12 can be a PITA depending on how the board is falling.  My depth makes me nervous but if some of these guys can re-emerge healthy this season could have some later round value picks

No, Chase Brown went @ 15. CMC @ 19 after Drake London, AJ Brown and Josh Jacobs.

I guess every league and players are different, otherworldly talent for fantasy and easily a top 3 guy if he finishes the season healthy. But that is resoundingly, for most, a big if.

Yeah, what @Johnny Hammersticks said is one reason. The other; Adams. I think he poaches a lot of RZ production from him. Stafford is the main issue there, his volume will take a hit if he’s not playing.

Still, he’s a solid choice for your #1 pick in a PPR league if you’re in a 12-14 team league, or better yet your second selection at the top of round 2.

Personally, and I see this in all 3 of the leagues that have a $ buy-in, RBs are the prime market after Chase/Jefferson. The plethora of high end running backs is minimal; 8 to 14 (depending on the perspective).

WRs there’s so many to get who’ll produce at least 10 points in a week to week basis.

Look at Meyers in Vegas, dude is a top 20 WR the last 2 seasons but is going in the 8th to 9th rounds… If people are as bullish on Jeanty being as productive as the fantasy pools suggest then Meyers should have an increased production with average-at-worst Geno Smith throwing the ball.

Calvin Ridley is another guy going around the 30th WR drafted mark. Crazy when you watch the connection Ward had with him in that preseason game he played. Deep dive into the stats for last year and he might turn into a Terry McLaurin-esque jump.

Josh Downs and Shaheed are two others guys I’m keeping an eye on to acquire if they hit the trading blocks.

To set up the two matches per week, it was a setting available in the commissioner tools. I believe it may have been a default setting too. It said something like, “two matches per week” and I had to click the information button to see what it meant.

I’m excited to check it out. It seems like every year there are those people who either have all of the good matchups or the unlucky matchups.

I think I’ve probably drafted atleast 75 bestball teams, went a little light this year, and I think I have 0 Devon Achane and maybe 1 share of Reek. IMO that whole team is going to implode, Reek’s fall off will be precipitous and he seems to be dinged up quite a bit. Same for Achane, he underwhelmed last year in a “workhorse style role”, he’s definitely not physically built for that, and he’s been injured the entire offseason.  I just wouldn’t trust either guy and there is too much talent around them to even bother with the risk in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Brown, Taylor, Jacobs, Cook, Hampton, Kyren all go after Achane and all much better values imo.

If you want Achane without the risk draft Jaydon Blue late, same type of player. Insane speed (they say he’s been clocked in the 4.2’s) and has a clear pathway to touches behind Javonte Williams, with the pass catching ability in an offense that I think is poised to score a lot more points than the Fish. Crosky-Merrit is another one built of the same mold but the secret seems out on him with Robinson being moved to the Niners…

All sounds good on paper, with my luck Achane goes for 2500 all purpose yards and 20 TDs… I just have a hard time believing McDaniel didn’t already lose the team last year and by week 6-7 the fire sale begins in south beach.

This actually sounds awesome! I’ll check it out. I’ve got my live home best ball draft on Monday. Love to just draft and be done with it. Draft is the only fun part of fantasy football the rest is too time consuming.
