Cubanmist 1 Posted August 26 Posted August 26 (edited) Out of all of the waived players, due to rosters needing to be at 53 personnel, which players from other teams would you want the Bills to pick up? I think I’ll kick the tires on Jakobi Meyers. Edited August 27 by Cubanmist 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Tony Jefferson, S cut by Chargers. Guy is a vet with success in this league. Miles ahead of Rapp or Hamlin. Good mentor for Bishop. 5 1 2 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Beanie Bishop (CB/Steelers) is definitely worth a look. 1 2 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Cole Strange. Hasn’t been good, but he is the kind of ridiculous athlete that Aaron Kromer has had a ton of success developing. He was also over drafted into a dumpster fire and thrown to the wolves. He was always a small school guy athlete who needed development time. Good piece of clay for Kromer. 7 Quote

"Miles ahead of Rapp" is just an insane take. The player of 2013-2018, sure. But this isn't that same player anymore. He hasn't been that guy since tearing his ACL in 2019. On top of that, he'd have to learn the Defense and Playbook on the fly. He'd have to be taught the Defense during the regular season, when they have a million other things going on. At this point, they're only going to do that with guys who have the potential to be big time impact players or if they're ravaged with injuries. They're going to go with the guys they've had working with the Playbook all off-season. There's absolutely no way they'd move even Hamlin off the roster for Jefferson. Maybe a Practice Squad spot, but even that is pretty unlikely, given his age and the learning curve he'd have here. They're not going to develop a 33 year old Safety into this squad. If no one signs him, I definitely think we should put sign him to the PS and let him learn the system. Could be an upgrade after a month or so. I don’t think he’d be an upgrade after reading the playbook and practicing in the system for 13 days. It’s obvious that knowing the system is McDs MO, especially when it comes to DBs 2 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted August 27 Posted August 27 He plays both corner and safety. Sort of like their cam Lewis. Buffalo seems to be two or three deep with this type of player though. 2 Quote

Nothing he did to deserve the critcism, obviously, but nobody expected to hear his name called in the 1st. 2 Quote
Maine-iac Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I'd like to see Zy Alexander make it back in some capacity. Practice squad would be a good start. 1 Quote
Coldfronts Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) Why would they sign Jordan Phillips one day and cut him the very next day? Edited August 27 by Coldfronts Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) 1 hour ago, Coldfronts said: Why would they sign Jordan Phillips one day and cut him the very next day? Because he was always brought in knowing he was going to sign to the Practice Squad. Being a veteran, he doesn't go through Waivers. So they agreed to a PS spot deal before they could do it. In the meantime, they had open spots on the 90 man roster and while on the active roster, he could use the facilities and work with the team and coaches yesterday and today until he was released. Basically came in yesterday and started working and won't miss any time in the building while being moved from the 90 to the PS, where he always knew he was going to end up.
