I think it’s a variant of high ankle given the lack of timetable , possible ir. Just guessing tho. Why else be so quiet about it, well high ankle really vary in recovery time. Best wishes. Another poster indicated that they would wait until after cut down day to talk about it... could mean he is fine and ready to go... could be a longer term injury... but either way someone else knowing... if it is a player or a team (especially if it is more severe and our need is more immediate) would love to know that information if they are bargaining with us... so based on that I suspect it is an injury that will at least make him unavailable game 1 at minimum... that is my guess... 1 1 Quote

He's a very good CB. He got caught in the numbers game with the Eagles. They gave him a waive to let him play/start somewhere else. I'm not saying he is dynomite - but he would be ur #2 CB and allow Max to get healthy. We'd be set. If he clears he is a Bill 100% Quote

Nobody is cutting a top 40 50 corner... He's a backend guy realistically And there's probably not much of a difference than Dane Jackson too who has started much more NFL games with some production and knows our defense ricks wouldn't for certain beat-out dane Jackson and ingram... Ricks played like 15 snaps...Ingram is a 6'2 corner with good leaping ability who knows our system and has put up some stats like again I'm not saying he doesn't have talent but I'm not putting my number two position on a kid who we just picked up that has only played 17 regular season snaps Edited August 25 by Buffalo716 2 2 Quote

The thing is, teams that have tradable assets usually shop them before cutting the player. Ricks being released means that no team was willing to part with a 7th round pick. If he had torn an ACL or popped an achilles, we'd know about it. Having heard no such thing, and hearing Beane be vague about the details and talk about trying to figure out a treatment plan and a timeline, tells us that it's almost certainly not a season ending injury. The only relevant thing we don't know for sure is the return timeline, and that should become more clear with upcoming roster moves related to cutdown day. But make no mistake: The lack of specifics on the injury should be taken as a positive sign. 2 4 1 Quote

The same guy who went undrafted 2 years ago? I’m not a big believer in the “Approximate Value” formula, but Ricks has a career value of 1. For the sake of comparison, Kaiir Elam has a 6. It proves the macho street cred of those who criticize him. They’ve proven they’re not being sentimental in any way which is reserved for inferior betas.
