JerseyBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Most guaranteed $ for a RB in the last 5 years according to WFAN radio Draft Develop Re sign!!! I'm very happy with 12 mil per year Fair deal for both sides Edit - 30 mil guaranteed Edited 1 hour ago by JerseyBills 5 1 4 Quote
GunnerBill Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago $12m sounds about right in relation to the Williams deal. As ever the details will matter in terms of how and when the team flexibility is built in. 4 2 Quote
Roundybout Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago $12 million is about right. Glad we get to keep him, he’s a great talent. 4 Quote
Evansfan322 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Finally! I had a feeling Cook wanted 4 years instead of 3 but whatever, let’s go! 1 Quote
Pecker Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Seems like a long deal with lots of guaranteed money for a RB. More than the Bills could afford. hes 25 now. Most RBs don’t make it to 29 Edited 1 hour ago by Pecker 1 1 3 Quote

Sends a great message to our young guys too that we'll take care of you if you produce 3 1 Quote

I'm not good with understanding these things Yes. That $48 mill will essentially be spread over 5 years because the amortised signing bonus will start immediately and some of that money will hit the 2025 cap. EDIT: but the $5.7m cap charge already due this year has to be accounted for too. So if it's a 4 year $48m extension that leaves him with a 5 years $53.7m contract...... SydneyBillsFan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is great news! If he could improve his pass pro it would become an epic deal. Quote
eball Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Love it. He wanted to be here, and they came significantly off that ridiculous 15M number. Great for both sides all around. I’ve been on record all along that Cook is a very important piece of this offense and not easily replaceable. 1 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago I'm guessing Beane opened around $10M per, and we all know Cook's starting number. Good compromise on both sides. Took some maneuvering and working leverages, but they got it done. No one will remember all the thread drama by the time the season starts. 1 Quote
loveorhatembillsfan4life Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago It’s pretty amazing the extensions Beane handed out this offseason in keeping the core together. Beane pretty much staying true to his word of drafting and resigning if it’s in the best interest. Pretty pumped Cook is staying. I didn’t like the distraction affecting our goals and arguably our best weapon outside of Allen. I’m also happy for my son who just bought a Cook jersey last year and will get more than a year out of it. 2 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago Great job for both sides! Since it’s an extension rather than a new deal, wonder if it lowers the cap this year 1 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago Great day! Love Cook! $30M guaranteed is what probably got the deal done. The per year stuff is just funny money. I really like the RB group. If Davis can progress just a little they have three guys that can all play. Would love to see Cook around 50 receptions this year but I dont think it will happen. And that's becuase I think Kincaid is going to explode this year. 2 Quote
T.E. Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Nice work getting that done almost a month before the season starts. Plenty of time to get him up to speed. Glad he's on the team; he's a weapon. Quote
Gregg Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago YES! Great news. The Bills need Cook out there helping Allen as he is their 2nd best player on offense Quote
Doc Brown Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago Similar money to the Bernard contract which is what I expected from the start. A little bit more drama though. Quote
