ChevyVanMiller Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Had it been in the regular season, the Jags kicker would have broken Justin Tucker’s NFL record by four yards. 2 11 Quote
T.E. Posted August 10 Posted August 10 That was awesome, good for him. Amazing how much kickers have improved over the last couple of decades. Wasn't too long ago when everything over 40 yards was a toss-up. 1 4 Quote

He’s hit from 65 in warmups with plenty of room to spare. Reminds me of the madden cards back in the day that would give a player a boost in ratings for a play. They had one where your kicker could make a FG from anywhere. Friend kicked a 108 yard FG to beat me. I had no idea about the cards and was pissed. Edit- His 61 yarder had plenty of extra distance but idk if that specific kick would have made it from 70. Edited August 10 by Not at the table Karlos Quote
Big Turk Posted August 10 Posted August 10 That was good from 73 or 74 probably... Sucks that it doesn't count as a record because it was pre-season Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Doesn't seem that long ago when a 50 yarder was a big deal. Now these kickers make that distance routine. Though I will say back in the day kickers seemed to be more accurate. There's always weeks during the season while watching Red Zone they will cut to like 4 or 5 FG attempts and we see miss after miss. Quote

They're juicing, I tells ya! 😳 Make them all wizz in the bottle! 😁 1 Quote
Buffalo03 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 That would suck to hit a kick like that and have it actually not count. I would have waited until the regular season so, that it would have counted in the record books 1 Quote

Walking Tall Posted August 10 Posted August 10 It may be time to shrink the width of the uprights. I don’t want this becoming a league where when you hit the 50 it’s almost automatic points. 1 Quote

Seems like there were a fair number...or maybe it was only the Bills. 😁 1 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted August 10 Posted August 10 I have been waiting for this.....kickers now can crush it...Bass's 61 yarder had plenty of extra. Quote
skibum Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Every year I wish the Bills would just select the best K in the draft, even if it's a 3rd or 4th round pick. It seems like a low-risk position to evaluate, as kicking field goals in college is exactly the same as kicking field goals in the NFL. It's such a key role, and one the Bills (and many other teams) seem to undervalue. Think about how important guys like Butker and Tucker have been to their teams' success. 1 1 Quote
