He was when the pads weren’t on. The pads came on and he was injured a bit, but it doesn’t sound like he’s standing out like he was earlier according to this Mike Rose guy. I do think Moore being in danger of getting cut might be an exaggeration.

I feel that a surprise player will be cut or traded in order to make room for the resigning /extension of Cook.

Honestly, Deon Cain and Wilkerson have been a lot more consistent and available than Moore has.

What do you mean "make room for?" Cook is under contract and on the active roster. Don't need to make room for him.

I think you’re making things up.

Chase the last time we met had 4 catches for 41 yards.

I think it might be Chase’s personal best.

I could be mistaken, but isn't what you posted above the Damar Hamlin Game.  I believe it ended, during the Bengals second possession.

How about the blowout in the playoffs?  It seems to me, they ran wild on our secondary.

According to Joe B, Jordan Hancock has been more impressive at safety than Forrest, which of course is intriguing and disappointing at the same time.

I am not sure why a low round draft choice performing at an NFL level better than an NFL veteran safety is disappointing.  You should be ecstatic.  I am sure the Bills are.

It’s disappointing only because I had a higher opinion of Forrest.

What, three years ago?

Dude.

I'm not saying he isn't a good player, or maybe even in that top 10-15 tier.  I just don't agree with a graph, that is trying to tell me he's as good as Patrick Surtain, and way better than Stingley. That's all.

But as I said in the post, I do acknowledge that he's improved a little bit each year, and is having his best camp to date.  Hopefully this is the year.

All that being said, our biggest issue has been the lack of pressure by our dline, especially in the playoffs against inferior olines.

5 receptions 61 yards and a TD was his playoff line.

Regardless if it was the Hamlin game, you made the comment that Benford struggled against him.  He may or may have the next 3 quarters so you can't make any determination or even know the coverage called on that play.

For reference vs the Broncos last year, Chase went

9 for 102 yards

Like it happened yesterday? Geesh.

I'm glad it wasn't yesterday, and really hoping all the defensive additions, finally show up in the playoffs.  I will admit, that I probably do magnify things.  In the Cincy blowout, the passing TD's looked too easy, and maybe I'm incorrectly assigning Benford blame.  Right now, I have deep trust issues with our defense.  Milano although older, has proven to be a star.  Tre pre-injury, I would say was also a star.  Outside of that, just a bunch of guys to me.

Fair enough.  I will gladly be wrong on this.

The analytics aint perfect for sure and the eye test still matters.  but with this much data pointing one way you sorta need to say what is analytics missing.  For example with Josh, everyone predicted he would bust because of completion % in college, but what was missing was that Josh didnt have all the reps (likely had like 10k less throws than his peers) that players in the historical data set did.  I dont think its terrible to question his ability in man as that has come along lately and he doesnt come off as an athletic freak (good RAS of 8.14, but poor agility).  I think the all 22 would be telling as he is every bit the technician that Tre was/is but better explosion.

It was the last time we played them which was in Cinnci in ‘23. Chase was 4/41.

The Hamlin game ended nine minutes into the first quarter with the Bengals leading 7-3. There are no stats from that game. Boyd had the erased TD pass from Burrow.

Benford didn’t play in the playoff game three weeks later so there’s just no record of how he fared vs Chase. And we don’t know how much of that 4/41 night in ‘23 was against Benford, regardless.

I’ll say this; as good as Benford is, he is not as good a CB as Chase is a WR. No shame in that though.

Benford  isn’t listed in the snap counts so apparently didn’t play in the playoff game, anyway.
