Sal has admitted on air he cannot air or discuss full stories or situations where he knows the Bills brass would not appreciate because of his position working for the Bills.

that's not a reporter. that's a propagandist.

cool.

I like Sal and am an adult enough to know that he gets paid by WGR and is part of the Official Radio Broadcast of the team.  That is part of it for anyone in that position.  If they give you unlimited access essentially because you are always with the team you can not be giving out everything.

If you want guys who scream and yell and complain about everything and who are negative 24x7 then you should go be a jets fan and listen to WFAN all day.  That is all they do.

i want journalists who report the news they share, who dig for stories and report on events as they are told.

Wawrow does this, Tim Graham does this. They're not all negative.

Those are columnists and beat writers.  I agree with you on that and like those guys.

But if you are comparing Sal to those guys you are confused.  Sal is not a columnist or a beat writer.  He is the sideline reporter and team insider for WGR the official station of the Buffalo Bills.

These are two very different jobs.

I was speaking for all media but understand your point.

I think we both disagree, and hopefully both respectfully disagree. I do like Sal. I think he has great energy and really busted his butt to get himself to this position.

cheers!

Sal on the morning show today. Literally just kept saying when Jeremy pressing him on the teams plans for corner

“it could be Dane Jackson (cut later in the day) or it could be Melvin Ingram “

the whole segment he was so wishy washy. He was like that yesterday about the DL / Jordan Phillips news.

“They could cut DQ, O, or Carter.”

ok thanks Sal

I actually find him most useful for his fri interview w McD before games where he gets to “break” the clear  inactives

Otherwise. Really hard to listen to him anymore. I just don’t care about the fluff anymore

Thanks TB, and used to be sizable, now just a middle aged guy who still works out 5 days a week.  I’m sure Simon is a beast.  BTW- Buffalo Barbarian was a Powerlifter as well. I haven’t heard from him in quite awhile.

We traded him for Skelton 🙃

I know one of the talking heads on Twitter said this but I totally buy the idea that this deal will get done next Thursday morning and it'll make the focus of NFL Opening Night Cowboys vs Eagles be about Micah Parsons and not the Eagles Super Bowl

Would it take some significant restructuring?  Yes.  Is it possible?  Of course it is if you want it bad enough.  Will it happen?  99% chance of it not happening.

That said, this is the one position Beane has been in a search for an answer for years and this is one of the best pure rushers in the league.  I hope that he makes an aggressive offer.  This kind of opportunity at a star player at this age doesn't come around very often.  So, hopefully Beane gets in there and fights.  It's obviously not likely because there will be a lot of teams with more available resources, trade capital, and desperation than we have, but it would be nice to see us in there going for it.  Not getting too excited about it though as it probably isn't happening.

I just don't us being able to afford his contract. Would be pretty cool but how?

If we make a move on a guy like that it would really make Beane look like a clown after already signing Michael Hoecht and using three draft picks on the D-line.

Given all the jokes in this thread, nobody is going to believe me, but I've brought this up before.

My coworker lives across the street from Micah's girlfriend & runs into him at least twice a week. You'd think his girl would go over to his house, but no, Micah goes & visits her place all the time.

Only reason I'm bringing this up is because my coworker just saw him again last night. They only ever exchange small talk, and once he autographed a football, but just wanted to point out that Micah is still here in Frisco last I heard.

It's also very unlikely Micah is allowed to visit other teams anyway, especially with Jerry acting the way he is. He's going to make Micah play out this contract or agree to the extension terms Jerry already offered.

This is true... this is not an AP reporter this is a guy who is paid albeit indirectly by the Bills...

Based on recent returns, I'd be cool with Beane not having another 1st round draft pick for 3 years.

Micah went to LA last night apparently to get a second opinion on a non existent back injury because he has no plans to play next week and doesn’t want to lose a game check.

apparently him staying with the bit has upset some people in the cowboys organization from listening to the radio here today.  Maybe the jones family would actually get mad at him and trade him but I still highly doubt it.

Gonna need those three draft picks on the DL to hit with paying Parsons, so it would be the opposite… impeccable timing to get an influx of rookie contract talent on the DL.
