NewEra Posted July 17 Posted July 17 We got Rousseau on such a great deal considering his age and potential. 3 3 4 Quote

HardyBoy Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I don't understand why that gets reported as $41m/yr...it's 95% most likely not going to be that...they should report it as $36m/yr...and even then, without having looked, I'm gonna assume it's a two year deal with a void year even if there isn't a void year...like he'll restructure or be cut after the second year most likely as a pre workout bonus designated as a post June 1 cut or something? But yeah, why do they report average yearly salary based on the total value and not the guaranteed value or at least give it as two values: the guaranteed/yr and the max value/yr. It's not just a small annoyance either, people use that to calculate % of cap at signing and such and it drives narratives and pro bowl/all pro voting, etc. 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I never doubted they'd figure it out but didn't expect $108m guaranteed for three years. Taking advantage of Rodgers's rookie deal. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted July 17 Posted July 17 TJ Watt is the type of elite player who can shake free. Older, coming off a year where people wonder if he’s lost a step. Still gets this contract. If you want a difference maker, you better draft one. 2 2 Quote
BontitaBills Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Surprising Dallas keeps punting a contract with Micah Parsons down the road. Price keeps going up on him and Hendrickson. 1 3 Quote

SCBills Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Bengals folks had been hearing there’s been somewhat positive momentum on a Hendrickson deal. Have to wonder if this changes anything. Quote

HOUSE Posted July 17 Posted July 17 This means the Steelers will draft at # 8 instead of #9 Big Progress here.... 1 Quote
bigduke6 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 (edited) well, thats a lot of scratch for a guy whos no spring chicken and been barely healthy the last few years. does this fix their offensive line and QB problems? Edited July 17 by bigduke6 Quote
Chicken Boo Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Neither he nor Micah's contracts will match their impact. 2 Quote
