I was just as excited that the Sabres chose him if that matters. We will be fortunate to see him on the ice in 2029.

Well… consolation is that if he does develop into a decent player history shows that the Sabres will trade him for some hot dog water, whereupon he has a relatively high chance to soon win a Stanley Cup.

I wonder when we get to the point where players frequently refuse to sign with the Sabres. Brendan Lemieux did that and got himself dealt as a 2nd rounder.

He looked pretty happy most of the time. I'm so glad a photographer managed to catch that expression so we can build an entire narrative about what he was feeling. Because it never gets old.

Yeah, the Sabres didn't need a top 4 right shot D-man and a gritty third liner to replace the creampuffs on this team now.
