NewEra Posted August 17 Posted August 17 It would be such a bengals move to trade him within the AFC. I could see the Pats making a move and the Bengals pulling the trigger because they aren’t “contenders”. Yet I highly doubt they would trade him to us. 2 Quote

Cincy will have to average 40 PPG to make the playoffs. Lots of good nfc candidates with space: https://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space Seattle makes some sense. The Vikings, Bucs, and Rams can make it work too. Now, after looking at Tampa’s d-end depth, they make a ton of sense because they are actually a SB contender. They should go after him. 3 Quote

Im not normally the madden "get every name" kinda dude... but i think one serious weapon at DE or WR puts us over the top. I have to pretend Bosa isn't even on this team, so anything we get outta him is a bonus. Parsons is a pipe dream. Hendrickson is obtainable. How many times have we seen Chris Jones make a game sealing play rushing the passer? Both against us and whoever in the playoffs. Getting an elite pass rusher would really swing my confidence in this team come January/February. Dude has several good years left in the tank and has been consistent year after year 1 Quote

The Bills have no cap space - the very least in the league. Theu bought their Hendrickson in the form of Bosa, and they’re just hoping/praying he remains healthy. Because when healthy, he’s definitely as good as Hendrickson. 1 minute ago, BillsShredder83 said: What are we thinking Cinci wants to get this done? Maybe a 2nd + something lower. Would take some restructuring and maybe someone like Epenesa (or even Bosa if they want a high upside potential replacement) in a trade. They'd then have to give whatever contract they give Hendrickson to have a minimum cap hit this year. Should Beane be in on this? Absolutely. Do I think the Bengals trade him to an AFC contender? No. 1 2 Quote
julian Posted August 17 Posted August 17 lol that organization is a complete joke, I love watching Burrow dealing with that incompetence. Quote

Burrow is part of the incompetence. Any sane organization would have let Higgins walk and used that money to sign Hendrickson. But Burrow demanded that the Bengals keep the band together, even knowing the self-imposed financial rules under which the Bengals operate. 3 1 Quote

Or do we have to have to be under the cap with his current cap hit before we rework a new deal? I don’t think a healthy Joey Bosa in 2025 is as good as a healthy Hendrickson in 2025. I think a 26 year old healthy Bosa was better…..but I don’t think his body will ever allow him to be THAT good ever again. I agree he was the big ticket at edge this offseason and can certainly be our best pass rusher. 🙏🏻 let the football gods keep him safe! Quote

To be fair at least all three deals have those players prime years covered. Hendrickson may only have a couple left. You just don't know when the wall hits after 30. Quote

That’s kind of the point I was making about incompetence, they have an elite QB and a team good enough to make a SB, yet continue to miss the playoffs and maintain their reputation for boneheaded front office decision making. 1 Quote

Yet they fired the guy responsible for Mahomes's second half collapse as the scapegoat for their failure at drafting defensive players. 1 Quote
