Pickens would go 🦇 💩 crazy in this offense! He’d be used as a decoy to free up looks for Shakir and Knox/Hawes! Amari was not washed as reported. He still drew so much attention that the others got free. Pickens ain’t playing as a decoy, nor is he being mild mannered when Josh consistently overlooks or overthrows him. That would’ve been a disaster of epic proportions trading for him. Dallas, given their attention, don’t have the same expectations as the Bills. They can be reckless and force

feed players. Pickens is an immense talent. But he would only work if we had someone like Daboll.

I can't respond to this without saying things about Beane that could get me banned from this message board. The worst thing about the Bills is that they are a boring team with ZERO fun playmakers. And there was one available for a 2nd, and we couldn't do it because of the precarious culture.

This team does not value the WR position. Look at the rounds where we have drafted them since McBeane has been here.

With Pickens, we'd be in the top spot right now.

 

I'm not sure why this team does what it does. We have viable options at the deadline, also.  There just seems to be a stubbornness when it comes to the WR position.

I found a Reddit thread that I think explains why Beane does what he does. This is a fan putting this together, but I think that Beane has models that show how allocating cap dollars to certain positions relates to winning. I think he'w wrong, but this is interesting:

It makes me really really upset seeing Dallas get Pickens and trade for Quinnen Williams and now I'm hearing that the bills are working out shaq lawson....
