kota
he only tries to speed rush around the end. He doesn't seem able or willing to cut back or try a bull rush. I would prefer to have Greg Rousseau out there all the time.

SCBills
He looked more explosive than last week, but he still seems a way off. Bills have to keep sprinkling him in, because getting him back to pre-injury Von by the time we hit the Playoffs is the goal. However, yes, he's very clearly DE4 .. by a large margin .. behind Rousseau, Floyd & Epenesa. Good news is that those 3 might be the best pass rushing trio in the NFL.

You don't recover from an ACL or a broken leg in less than a year. Anyone who expects Von to be 100% before the end of this year or Cookie before the end of 2024 is dreaming. Pro athletes are paid and compensated, along with given the world's best care to make that comeback. Bottom line of my point: Miller has no excuse on being 100% once cleared. 1 1

I was wondering when you'd chime in on this thread given your vocal irrational hatred for Von The only way a pro athlete is going to be 100% after injury is to get game reps until they reach that level
Buffalo_Stampede
He’s getting there. Only played 27 snaps, up from 20. It’s his preseason right now.

stlbills13
He looks slow. No bend. Taking a very wide route to the backfield so it makes it half look like he's making progress but he's so far outside that the only way he's getting to the QB is if the QB runs into him. You can't tell much from TV but I think his health isn't quite there and I'm guessing his trust isn't there either. The pass rush can survive without him right now so they can ease him in to be ready for the stretch run. But man that last drive last night is why you bring Von Miller in. One sack and there's not even a threat at the end of the game.

Let’s not get carried away with Von Miller he isn’t Bruce Smith or Reggie White he is a tier below those two. Regardless if Von Miller has a Super Bowl or not he isn’t Bruce Smith. Bruce Smith did far more on the football field than just rush the quarterback. Von Miller is now used in special specific blitz packages he is a defensive specialist part time player now. Von Miller is a situational player now in a less violent game. Bruce Smith and Reggie White played in a much tougher era of professional football where you didn’t come in and out like now. It would be like comparing Josh Allen and Jim Kelly. Jim Kelly didn’t play in a NFL when the quarterback was protected like Josh Allen does. Jim Kelly or Dan Marino or Steve Young in today’s pass happy rules there statistics would be scary in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

If you think he can just sit around and show up at the end of the year in game shape ready to go. I would imagine that the entire goal of playing him now is so that in a month he looks closer to his old self. We have the benefit of not needing him to be a superstar pass rusher right now since we are getting contributions elsewhere. I think sitting out until week 14 could be good. Gives him 3 weeks to get into playing shape and ready for the playoffs.

Also if you aren't shopping for a QB, many GMs go BPA. Carter isn't even making half of Miller's GTD money. Different worlds. But you’re also getting a “safer” option because the FA is more of a known commodity. If that draft pick busts, then you have created two problems. One, not getting anything from the draft pick. 2, you didn’t satisfy another area where you could have. I am not arguing about the money part, you’re absolutely right. It’s more of the commitment I’m talking about. I feel we would have brought on Von Miller even if our DL was very good before he signed.
