Look at Iraq/Afghanistan. We went in there, kicked out their douchebag dictator(s), did everything from building the governments, showing them how voting works, building the plumbing infrastructure so they didnt have so much shite in the streets, etc.

He should be holding a press conference, taking questions on whether or not there were failings of the intelligence community in sniffing this assault out before it happened on his watch.  He should be addressing safety concerns home and abroad as Hamas and their partners gear up for the next phase of the war.  If he thinks troops should be committed to Gaza, he should tell us why.  If he thinks troops should not be committed, he should explain why not.

 

It would be nice if some intrepid reporter were to ask why these invasions seem to happen on his watch, and his thoughts on that, but that likely won't happen.

I'm not sure what any of that would do to actually aid Israel now. There may indeed be Intel failures on our part as well as on Israel's part, but now is not the time to be airing all of that.

Biden came out strongly, unequivocally in support of Israel. That was the right thing to do at this critical moment. Everything else (money) can follow.

You don't even need to go to the scripture. The 1988 Hamas Charter says it all (from the wiki page):

 

The charter states that "our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious" and calls for the eventual creation of an Islamic state in Palestine, in place of Israel and the Palestinian Territories,[3] and the obliteration or dissolution of Israel.[4][5] It emphasizes the importance of jihad, stating in article 13, "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."[6] The charter also states that Hamas is humanistic, and tolerant of other religions as long as they "stop disputing the sovereignty of Islam in this region".[7] The Charter adds that "renouncing any part of Palestine means renouncing part of the religion [of Islam]".[1] The original charter was criticized for its violent language against all Jews, which some commentators characterized as incitement to genocide.[8][9]

 

They tried to tone it down a bit around 2010, but they still will not accept the State of Israel.

In other words, Hamas - an entity dedicated to the elimination of Israel - controls Gaza and its "army," a terrorist army.

Obviously in retrospect, when Hamas was elected by the people of Gaza to run its government, Israel should have taken immediate action to stop that from happening.

Well, you asked what others might think he should be doing but it seems your mind was already made up?  I thought his statement was fine, maybe 5 or 6 out of 10, but checking out early the other day for a nappy-poo didn't signal strength and leadership.   Likewise, avoiding questions from the press when an ally was savagely attacked doesn't show much in the way of leadership, either.

 

There are many in Israel right now demanding answers on intelligence failures, and we certainly all agree that should not be their top priority in the moment.  These are looming questions on virtually everyone's mind, he should address them.

I am not an expert in any of them. but they seem to all focus on a temple/mount/wall in that valley, in order to get their "heaven on earth."

 

Al-Jihod is the second door to get to Jannah.
