Trump's latest lie is that he will testify when even the dimmest of Trump supporters know it would be suicide for him. He is incapabable of telling the truth.

In response to another question, he said he can do whatever he wants. He'll still say that if he ends up behind bars.

Well a recent survey showed that Trumpers believe the orange king more than their family or religious leaders so yea, loyalty to the tribe overrides their religious values. In other words… cult.

Can you post a link or source of that survey?

CBS news and YouGov did the poll.

This is the poll that finally convinced me that it is a cult. A cult of personality, or whatever you want to call it, but a cult.

It doesn't have anything to do with policy or ability to get things done, and it certainly has nothing to do with stability and having a steady hand at the wheels of power.

It is simply a cult. This is why Ron DeSantis, who believed he could get traction by outflanking Trump on the right on culture war issues, has gained no traction at all. He didn't understand that nature of the almost sexual attraction people (mostly men) have to Trump.

So the one poll and the article slanted helped you to fully support what you read in the slanted article.

The end seems to be some projection on your part.  Good luck with that

How does his eye roll use differ from your constant use of the laughing emoji?

I don't believe I've ever posted a laughing emoji in response to a directly answered question.  Rarely get the opportunity since the right so rarely direvcly answers questions.  Cryptic, evasive responses trigger actual laughter at the pathos...

How about they did nothing to preempt it, left the standard Capitol Police contingent swinging in the breeze to deal with 100K protesters, and let it happen while the National Guard was held back a couple blocks away until 8 PM when it was all over in order to exploit it for political purposes?  How about those people?  Not a one of them responsible for allowing the Capitol to be undefended has been questioned or held to account.  But Joe Public taking selfies in the Rotunda gets a year for trespassing.

It’s a rhetorical question.

I've gotten the eye roll when I post something I'm quite sure he agrees with.

It's knee jerk. Poster = A; Response = B (eye roll)

There's a thread here about "why are you here?" I was nice and said sometimes I learn something. People have different experiences and knowledge, and believe it or not, sometimes I do learn something.

More often, though, it's like a window into people who are just impervious to logic or reason. People who keep posting the same things even when I've pointed out how they are objectively wrong. Example: I've now seen the "Vanguard and Black Rock own a huge percentage of Apple/Microsoft/Netflix/Whatever." I've pointed out that this "ownership" represents the mutual funds/ETFs that individual investors and things like pension funds own. Vanguard/Black Rock do not own them in their own portfolios.

Instead of saying, "thanks for the clarification" or at a minimum simply not repeating that misunderstanding, they continue on as if nothing has changed.

So I'm not here to change anyone's mind. But I have learned a lot about how some people are so dug in to their beliefs, even if those are based on misinformation, that those beliefs will never change.

That's real insight ...

Even if this was true, no one forced them to illegally trespass.  you seem to be saying the traitors were entrapped?  C'mon....

Quack MD.

Doors were opened in some cases from the inside at the Capitol on J6. People streamed in, single file right past Capitol police officers and continued between the velvet ropes.

We have a guy blaring from a megaphone at the top of scaffolding exhorting people to first "move forward" and then "we're in, cmon, we need your help, let's fill up the Capitol!"

Strangely enough the FBI has no interest in this character whatsoever. I wonder why?

Don't tell us...Qanon!

Ray Epps himself used the defense that he thought the Capitol was open on J6 as to why he was encouraging people to go INTO the Capitol that day.

Curious why he told hundreds of others that WE need to go into the Capitol, that he thought was open, but then he never did?

If the I thought the Capitol was open defense is good enough for Epps, why not for others?

Officers standing by letting people in might give one the impression that the Capitol was indeed open, no?

So you're ok with the Ashlii Babbit shooting then?  Because that area was locked and people still tried pushing through and broke the window that she then climbed through all while being ordered not to.

I honestly don't know what the policies are involving the Capitol being open to the public day to day, but I'd assume that normally during the certification of an election, it is closed.  I may be wrong.  But even if people were let in, the actions by some of the people after that caused problems.  if I have a party, and have people inside, and 3 of the 15 people invited start causing problems and breaking things in my house, everyone is out.  And those that then refuse are now there illegally, whether they came in invited or not.

And I'm not agreeing if people were "let it" or not.  I have no idea as I wasn't there.  Just showing that even if they were "let in", that doesn't give them free reign, or establish that they continued to be peaceful once inside.

What's worse, an illegal trespass at the southern border or a citizen entering their countries capital?

The hypocrisy from the left on these things is remarkable.

I do also, on occasion.  Unfortunately, the occasion rarely arises from the other side.  But I rarely get likes from them...and that's just fine by me.

Yes, because you're with the party of law and order.  Except when you aren't.  Did you notice any liberals crying about Hunter being likely to get 10 years?  Any "but what about Kushner?"

So fun seeing leftists triggered by emoticon reactions to posts

Here's a few more for them...

 -_- :D

For the sane, you do realize that this will be their next angle to complain to mods, right?

But he eyerolls all my content!

Additionally we have useful idiots getting triggered by:

Ignoring them. (The King and Finding Qanon)

Tagging them and the notifications it generates (The King et al.)

Is this the flat-out lie that was pushed that Pelosi held back protection when she had zero power to do so?
