Gang violence is real. But you told me white supremacy was the number one threat to this country. We shouldn’t be talking about gang violence

It's black on black crime.  Those lives don't matter...

Motor vehicle accidents are the very close second leading cause of childhood deaths.

Also, firearm related deaths among children have spiked since 2019, the begining of the pandemic. Which is when they overtook motor vehicle accidents as the leading cause.

I wonder what percentage of these children were Caucasian ? I’d guess it’s not very high.

Make firearm deaths disappear using this one simple trick!

All the studies linked above categorize people aged 18 and 19 years old as children, probably in order to pad their statistics.  Seems a bit at odds with basic concepts like the law, selective service, drivers' licenses, etc.

Isn’t your cult trying to figure out a way to prevent college kids from voting?

The shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville on Monday, marks the 16th shooting this year in grades K-12 and the deadliest since the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, last year, according to a CNN analysis of school shooting data. Six people — three children and three adults — were killed.

There have been 130 mass shootings so far in 2023, the highest number of shootings recorded at this point in any year since at least 2013, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive.

Child and teen mortality overall surged during the Covid-19 pandemic — driven not by Covid-19 deaths but by fatal injuries, according to a new study in JAMA. Firearms accounted for nearly half of the increase in mortality in 2020.

Ah, CNN Analysis.  That must mean something, to someone.

Here is a great list of the mass shootings with links to the local news. cause most of them never make it to national news like CNN. Notice any patterns.

its also interesting how the narrative just morphs back and forth from gun violence, mass shootings, school shootings.  With the first most likely to affect you, the second way less likely, and the third. almost as statistical anomaly.

Well, if people would stop murdering our kids and stop terrorizing schools the media would stop reporting on it.

1-19?

What about 1-17? I've always thought of 18 year olds as adults not children.

Anyway, yeah it's clear the timing is meant to maximize the emotional response because of another crazy person shooting up a school, but it's clearly playing with the stats to support an agenda.

I'm for sensible gun control laws that when viewed in the rearview mirror had a chance at preventing these wackos. A 120 wait, a permit, etc. would be a fine start without having to go the route of banning or confiscation.
