Children get slaughtered in their schools and the GOP answers that with an attack on free speech.

I have heard they needed to include 18 & 19 year olds to get the numbers they needed to make this statement true . Last i knew 18 was the age that some consider those people adult enough to make adult decisions .

Of course that is unless it comes to changing your biological sexual orientation then the age to make such life changing decisions drops quite a lot .

Where did you hear that?

Anyway,  we can agree that 18 year olds are not old enough to buy alcohol, right?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/two-juveniles-ages-12-17-150601682.html

Authorities have arrested two juveniles and are searching for a third in connection with last week's triple murder in southeast Marion. All three are charged with first-degree murder.

One defendant is 12 years old. He was taken into custody Thursday at his home.

Another defendant, age 17, was arrested last week by Ocala Police Department officers after the killings had taken place. He was arrested in connection with a different case: a disturbance at his school. He was already in custody when the murder charges were brought.

The third defendant, age 16, remained at large Friday morning.

The three victims - two 16-year-old girls and a 17-year-old boy - were shot at the same time on March 30, Sheriff Billy Woods announced during an emotional news conference at the county Emergency Operations Center in Ocala. The bodies were found in separate Ocklawaha locations on March 30, 31 and April 1.

Old enough to vote, drive a car, be drafted and die for their country in war.

And die from gun violence, apparently.. I see that is acceptable to you.

So can't wait til we seriously go hard after this problem.

https://www.thirdway.org/report/the-two-decade-red-state-murder-problem

Republicans would rather ignore data showing red states with lax gun laws have higher murder rates than blue states with stricter laws. (“Cumulatively, overall murder rates since 2000 were on average 23% higher in Trump-voting states,” a January report from the moderate Democratic think tank Third Way states. “For the past 21 years, the top 10 murder rate states have been dominated by reliably red states, namely Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri. Even when we removed the county with the largest city in Trump-voting states … murder rates were still significantly higher in these red states.”)

When states such as Connecticut passed strict gun laws, homicides went down. (One study found that “the law was associated with a 40% reduction in Connecticut’s firearm homicide rates during the first 10 years that the law was in place.”) If one really is pro-life, regulating or banning weapons of war that rip children’s bodies to shred might be a good place to start.

I don't believe my post made any reference to guns or gun violence.

You don't seem to understand that legally 18-year-olds are adults.  The fact that they can't drink doesn't change that.

i don't get the arguement here...would the title be any better if it were "Firearm Deaths are the Leading Cause of Death in 19-Year-Olds or Younger in the USA"?

Your title would be accurate.

That is a true statement - but they can go in to the military & die for their country, they can drive a vehicle, they can get married & every other thing that is considered a decision a adult can make even change their sexual orientation if they want .

Oh & if a 18 year old that was in the military came up to me & wanted me to buy them a beer i would if you can die for your country you should be able to freely drink a beer if you so choose .

So if they are considered a adult for all those other things but 1 they should be considered adults & not be included in the count to make the numbers work for the gun violence narrative . And 19 year olds should be the same .

They are trouble makers with one thing in mind to not follow the rules & they will now pay the price in the Tenn. gov't & not be called on because they don't know how to act .

Which is exactly why the world is a total S**T show because every one wants to make their own rules & to hell with every thing that they disagree with if it is the basis of a civil society which if we all remember that's what the so called "Peaceful Demonstrations" in the liberal run cities were all about .

Which was the cause in their eyes for the defund the police movement which a lot of those same politicians like the mayor of San francisco are now eating their words & trying to ask for more money to hire more officers to fight the crime that they said they were all for .

Political BS talking out of both sides of their mouths that's exactly what these him rods will do because they walk around and refuse to use common sense as a guide in their lives & try to force it on others ...

Plain and simple they are just Jack asses which is their mascot .

The only difference with this is they were wanting a reaction stronger than what they got so they could go SEE THIS IS GOV'T BRUTALITY . Or some other crap they could come up with .

No you are just to stupid to see the commonality in the 2 because you were the ones that thought the "Peaceful Protest" were okay because IT FIT !!

How many buildings were burned & business's broken into & looting were done in those "Peaceful Protest" but once again the narrative was different then .

And that's OKAY in your book DH .
