Ive said it over and over CONTRACEPTION aka no need for an abortion in the first place. And that fact remains constant. To your first point, I never suggested reason and rational thought win the day for a high percentage of men where an opportunity for physical gratification is in play.  “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” is a good listen in this regard, Mup, and sums things up pretty nicely.  It was a modestly successful tune sung by this chubby guy out Texas in the late 1970s.  Let me know if you haven’t heard the song and I’ll check my LPs, toss it on a cassette and mail it to ya for a listen 😉. 
 

I agree the woman carries the full weight of the pregnancy, and acknowledge that some guys walk. It’s a problem that has to be addressed legally, and that costs time and money.   Personally, I think you can tell a lot about the character of a man by how he treats the children in his life.  
 

On to Robert Veitch-Van Winkle…what I can say without vomiting is that some of his grand ideas are already in play…DNA testing, legally enforceable child support etc.  The rest is pandering balderdash of the highest order, and presumptuous in the nature of certain older male baby boomers who only can see women as the weaker sex.  He also should read up on laws dealing with the disposition of one’s estate. 
 

By the way, on the deadbeat dad issue.   I used to think I knew the story until a friend of mine found out his wife was cheating on him, and she subsequently wanted a divorce.  The guy is a good dude, with a good job, and a good father.  He didn’t want a divorce.  We got to taking one day about a father’s obligation, and he told me that in his case, his obligation was based on his gross pay, that is to say, in part on money he simply did not have.    Of course, the government takes its non-negotiable cut before anything happens, and in his case, and as a result he was left with very little to live on.  His opinion was that more than a few “deadbeats” are victims of a system based on unreasonable demand unmanageable calculations.  
 

This matter is now officially closed.

Tucker absolutely nailed this last night 

 

In a corporate world hiring and promoting more and more young women, it is in their interest to see that these women have few or no children.

 

It costs money on insurance.

 

It takes the women's attention and focus away from the job being priority one.  

 

They're going to pay for their abortions now.  

 

Why aren't they offering to pay pre natal care and child support?  

 

 

 

Corporations are now fully in bed with the Democrat party unless people missed that post Covid just thought I'd remind them that realignment has happened.

I've got too much ***** to do and have no time or energy to try to convince myself that the Jesus freaks are right. Do you think that the circumstances that led you to "find Jesus" again are inevitable? Look into the changing views of the younger generations on this matter and you will see a country that is becoming steadily more secular. The fact that aging boomers are trying to control what's to come after they're gone is - well, it's a bit sad, really. Belief is slowly being cast aside in the name of science and progress, and that is a good thing. We are witnessing the death rattle of failed hippies who have become what they once hated most.

I found Jesus because I gave it an actual hard look at the world, nothing inevitable about it. You sound like my extended family members who say similar things to justify their behavior. But I have a real question for you, do you believe we have a soul?
