Nobody should care about this because it does not affect them personally. It only impacts women who have worked extremely hard to compete in their events expecting a level playing field. F those hateful people.

Last month, the girls’ basketball team from Mid Vermont Christian School was scheduled to play a game against Long Trail School. Upon learning that Long Trail was starting a transgender player, MVCS canceled the match and forfeited the game rather than being forced to play against a male. That probably should have been the end of the story, but the leftists who control the public schools couldn’t let it rest there. As our colleague Madeline Leesman reports at Townhall, the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) has banned MVCS from all future sporting events because of their supposed intolerance, transphobia, or whatever other woke accusations are in vogue these days.

A private Christian school in Vermont that forfeited a girls’ basketball game against a team with a biological male “transgender” player has been banned from participating in upcoming sporting events.

The Vermont Principals’ Association, which oversees school sporting events, announced on Monday that Mid Vermont Christian School would be ineligible to participate in sporting events and other activities done through the organization.

“The VPA again reiterates its ongoing support of transgender student-athletes as not only a part of building an inclusive community for each student to grow and thrive, but also as a clear expectation by Vermont state law(s) in the Agency of Education Best Practices, and in VPA Policy regarding transgender student athletes,” the announcement said.

The ugliness in this debate is running deeper and deeper as time goes along. The fact that this is a Christian school we’re talking about only adds another layer to a very nasty cake.

This dispute probably shouldn’t be handled as a First Amendment issue, though. MVCS never claimed that their religious liberties were being violated by being forced to play against the team with a transgender starter. They simply said they refused to tolerate the unfairness of putting their female players up against a boy with obvious, inherent physical advantages.

Another serious inconsistency with this decision is found in the VPA’s own policies. They cite a rule banning discrimination against anyone based on their supposed “gender identity.” But who was “discriminated” against in this instance? If MVCS had refused to allow the Long Trail team into their gym or tried to ban the individual trans player from taking the court, that would be one thing. But they chose to forfeit the match, take the loss, and hand the win to the team with the trans player. If anything, MVCS discriminated against themselves.

As I suggested above, this kerfuffle looks for all the world like an example of two groups living in one community that is heading for a local version of a national divorce. You have one Christian school where the administrators are fighting for fairness and respect for actual medical science as it was understood all through recorded history. Arrayed against them is a coalition of some of the most woke public school administrators in the country. (And that’s saying a lot these days.) And that coalition is willing to use its administrative muscle to shut an entire school system out of opportunities and community participation all over their bizarre transgender policies.

Where is the middle ground in that battle? This isn’t the same as previous questions about access to bathrooms, locker rooms or showers. In some of those battles, idiotic and expensive (but functional) solutions were found by instituting single-person bathrooms, shower stalls, and all the rest. But in Vermont, this isn’t a question of where students engage in particular activities. It’s a question of who is allowed to participate at all. They are effectively canceling an entire school based on the administration’s refusal to go along with something that is obviously unfair and based on unscientific nonsense.

DISPATCHES FROM THE EDUCATION APOCALYPSE:

It’s the End of Women’s Colleges as We Know It, and You Know Why.

Wellesley College, an all-women’s school that has long prided itself as a place for “women who will make a difference in the world,” has truly lost the plot.  Currently, the school’s policy is that students who were “assigned female at birth who identify as men are not eligible for admission,” but students who were “assigned male at birth who identify as women are eligible for admission.”

So, in reality, Wellesley hasn’t truly been an all-women’s college since 2015, when it last updated its policy to accept applications from biological males who identify as women. But even that policy allowing biological men to attend wasn’t woke enough for the student body, which, on Tuesday, voted in support of a non-binding resolution to allow “trans men and nonbinary people who were assigned male at birth” to be admitted as students.

Meanwhile, special interest groups like NOW claiming to represent women on issues such as equal pay and reproductive rights stand and applaud as men masquerading as women win awards during International Women's Month while the definition of a women is erased.

I have to wonder how the transgender community impacts the gender pay gap argument.  I don't see businesses promoting or demoting anyone if they transition from male to female or female to male.  Assuming transitioned salaries do not change dramatically, wouldn't this indicate that the gender pay gap argument has no merit?

Could be but you'll never convince progressives of that argument because rejection of all reality is the core of their belief system.  And if they were capable of critical thinking they wouldn't believe the gender identity hustle in the first place.

It's similar to Dems supporting Muslims despite their treatment of women and LGBTQ+ groups.  But as long as they're the opposite of Repubs...

Minnesota's "woman of the year" is a man

Screenshot-2023-03-19-at-5.22.26-PM-860x

Because of course “she” is.

At the risk of being accused of “stochastic terrorism,” I am compelled to state the obvious: it is not the case that every woman in the State of Minnesota is less worthy than the natal male Leigh Finke.

USA Today begs to differ. Every woman in my state is less worthy of national recognition for excellence in womanhood than Finke.

“She” looks like a dude in a dress, and that is because “she” is a dude in a dress.

Yet we are to believe that a man cosplaying as a woman is the most praiseworthy woman in the state.

Just create leagues for transgenders.  Let them compete against themselves.

It's very simple. Biological women have their own sports and then everyone else in an "open" division. If a dude wants to take estrogen and get some fake boobs that's fine but he's not going to be able to stop me from scoring with those things in the way

Maybe estrogen., but HGH you going to be playing BB with some big-headed, jacked dudes.  Barry Bonds and them were using HGH.

Please keep in mind that this doesn’t personally affect anyone here so nobody should care. It only affects actual women that have worked their bal……asses off to excel in their field while expecting a level playing field. They need to stop whining, check their privilege, and man up. Wait…

That is nonsensical demagoguery.

The only discrimination is against the women trying to have honest competition and to reap the rewards of their hard work.

Having it wiped out by men is a grave injustice.

Victimhood mob rewards you one social credit for playing the victim.

2 credits if you can identify others that are victims and need your voice to be the white night that amplifies their plight.

but in reality. pretty sure the end goal is a Bill of rights. Not like the rest that restrict the government. but one that would have the government provide.

Everything this chap says is in alignment with the doctrine of the fringe anarchists ruling the party which is denial of reality.  Part of reality is that admit it or not, any thinking and rational person doesn't believe any of this nonsense.
