At a crucial moment of his tenure, Joe Biden is repeatedly refusing to take questions. The odd ducking and weaving have even the normally docile White House press corps in an uproar. Why won’t he answer us, they demand to know. The question answers itself — Biden won‘t face the media because he’s got something to hide. But as with Joe Louis’ opponents, running won’t work.

In the understatement of the year, GOP Rep. James Comer of Kentucky said, “It is unclear what services were provided to obtain this exorbitant amount of money.” 

 

Comer, the aggressive head of the Oversight Committee, has said repeatedly the probe is ultimately about Joe Biden and emphasized the point again on Thursday. 

“The Oversight Committee is concerned about the national security implications resulting from President Biden’s family receiving millions of dollars from foreign nationals,” Comer said.

 

“We will continue to follow the money trail and facts to determine if President Biden is compromised by his family’s business schemes and if there is a national security threat.” 

 

In a sign that Comer hit a nerve, his comments and the revelation about the $3 million rattled both Hunter Biden’s legal team and the White House, with each issuing statements that suggest new levels of desperation.

Yesterday Joe Biden made the mistake of listening to a question from a reporter at the White House, and briefly trying to answer. I understand that the reporter was from another country; I don’t suppose a liberal American “reporter” would be so bold as to question Slow Joe on the subject of his China connections: Two points to note.

 

First, even in this very brief clip, Biden’s mental and physical incapacity are on display. He may only be 80 years old, but he is an old 80.

 

Second, Biden answers “It’s not true.” But it is true. A single Chinese entity paid Biden’s family well over $1 million.

 

That has been documented. And for what? Hunter’s sober judgment? Brother James’s financial acumen? Hallie’s good looks?

 

Obviously, the only reason why foreign companies and governments have showered money on the Biden family is Joe’s perceived power. And his influence has been real. When the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma desperately wanted a meeting with a high-level State Department official, it invoked the fact that the vice-president’s son was on its board of directors, and it got the meeting.

 

Why else do you think the pathetic, drug-addled Hunter, who knew nothing about natural gas and didn’t speak Ukrainian, was worth $1 million a year to a Ukrainian natural gas company?

 

Joe Biden has been a corrupt politician for a long time, probably decades. In recent years his corruption has come to light. The establishment press tried to deny it, since the imperative to defeat Donald Trump trumped everything else. But no one has disputed the evidence that shows Biden has hauled in millions in ill-gotten income from foreign interests. The indictment of President Trump was as predictable as snow in Antarctica. The deep state wants to kill him, destroy his family and plow his fields with salt. That would send a message to anyone who dares challenge their authority again.

 

Keep calm and carry on. We will right this wrong when a Republican is president. 2023 is not 2020. Republicans now realize the threat was not Trump.

 

Democrats believe they may have ended six years of expensive failure, but the indictment drew sharp criticism from Jeff Bezos and his flunkies at the Washington Post.

 

In an editorial (remember those?) the Bezosists said, “Donald Trump deserves the legal scrutiny he’s getting — which has come from many corners on many counts. Yet of the long list of alleged violations, the likely charges on which a grand jury in New York state voted to indict him are perhaps the least compelling. There’s cause for concern, and caution, ahead.”

 

Democrats have assumed that all they needed was lies to bring down Trump. The two impeachments undermined their credibility. But they look at polls that show majorities believe that he is guilty of something as proof that their strategy worked. Maybe it does, but throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks has left a very messy wall.

 

Republicans have duly noted these Democrat mistakes and made the proper adjustments. They are taking their two years of control of the House to introduce legislation that could later become law under a Republican president, sure. But Speaker McCarthy is also laying the groundwork for the prosecution of the Democrat regime. They won’t waste time on impeachments. Committee chairmen are holding hearings that put on record what we know in our hearts has gone on within the deep state and in the Biden regime.

 

This is not Nancy and Nadler the Waddler looking for a scandal to create to entrap a president. This is Speaker McCarthy picking which scandal to pursue.

 

Republican James Comer leads the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family. Everyone in Washington knew for decades that Biden was on the take. Soon, all of America will know too.

 

As Comer said, “Investigating Hunter, the Biden family is about like tracking a bleeding bear through a snowstorm. I mean, there’s evidence everywhere.”

So the "smoke signals" here telegraph the party leadership has decided Joe's usefulness as fake President has ended.  The benefit of running somebody they could present as a "moderate" in 2020 have been exceeded by the cost of his gaffes and weaknesses in 2023.  Its time to pull the plug on the program short of a full term.  Not that I expected anything else when he was elected.  But what I want to see is how faithful his defenders on PPP of this "Good American President" will react once they realize the leadership have pulled the plug on the show?  Most likely they'll follow orders and turn on the old guy too. 

 

What's still to be understood is how do they get rid of VP Harris too?  Nobody anywhere wants her to become President.  I've seen what is currently wild speculation the party will pull a 3-for-1 here.  Notice all the chatter again suddenly about pushing out Feinstein from her California Senate seat, then Harris steps down from VP to take the Senate seat, the party pushes some familiar progressive like Gavin Newsom as a new VP, Biden resigns, and the new VP steps into the White House without receiving a single vote.  How's that for Democracy?  Like I said wild speculation.  But it is a great plan and seemingly doable.

That narrow point should be investigated.

In private sworn testimony, Morell told the House Judiciary Committee that Antony Blinken, now Secretary of State, was the senior campaign official who reached out to him “on or before” Oct. 17, 2020, three days after The Post published an email from the laptop suggesting Hunter had introduced his Ukrainian business partner to his father, then vice-president Biden.

 

Morell, identified as a potential CIA director under Biden, said he organized the letter to “help Vice President Biden … because I wanted him to win the election.”

Until Blinken’s call, Morell told House investigators that he had no intention of writing any statement exonerating Biden.

But he agreed that the conversation with Blinken “triggered … that intent” in him.
