The receiver will have a mini tantrum and throw his hands up in the air, at which point, the official pulls out the flag. Are some of these officials that indecisive that they're influenced by a whiny players' reaction? Brady and the Patriots were masters of getting a huge yardage in critical situations by throwing long and drawing a PI penalty. Brady could throw it just short enough that it became a contested ball and all his receiver would have to do it stumble and cry to the nearest official, and lo and behold, here comes the laundry. TheFunPolice Posted October 6, 2021 Share Posted October 6, 2021 One thing I've noticed is that when there's a big PI penalty that upon replay seems questionable it's almost always followed by a holding call on the offense, usually on 2nd down. Well not sure about the holding call afterwards, but I have noticed they haven't been showing replays of some of these calls that could be questionable. Now that the NFL has seemingly climbed into bed with every casino in the free world after dropping a franchise in Las Vegas, an argument can be made that the appearance of impropriety exists every time something like this happens. To me, and most of the people I've discussed this with, the non-calls and calls against us were so blatant that it makes you question the integrity of the game. While I am a Bills fan, even non-Bills fans have questioned the same thing. Just plain sucks.
