The Lincoln Project

Recommended Posts

You can argue back and forth all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that The Lincoln Project are just disreputable grifters

Anyone who uses their posts as some type of credible statements exposes themselves.

Alf, your attempt to make a "charges" point is weak, 21 men have come forward, and the New York Times and the rest of the mainstream media have thought it refutable enough to print it.

MORE IMPORTANTLY:

The super PAC, which was founded in 2019 by veteran Republican operatives who opposed then-President Donald Trump, is reeling from the fallout of the allegations reported by The New York Times and other outlets -- with co-founders turning against and publicly targeting each other and new scrutiny over how the group has spent the tens of millions of dollars it raised.

However, the Associated Press reported that Lincoln Project leaders were told last year, in writing and in phone calls, of at least 10 allegations of harassment by Weaver. New York Magazine also reported that the group's leaders had been warned in June 2020 of Weaver's behavior, and that he had helped secure jobs and internships for some men he had harassed.

Since its creation, the Lincoln Project has raised $90 million. But only about a third of the money, roughly $27 million, directly paid for advertisements that aired on broadcast and cable, or appeared online, during the 2020 campaign, according to an analysis of campaign finance disclosures and data from the ad tracking firm Kantar/CMAG.

That leaves tens of millions of dollars that went toward expenses like production costs, overhead — and exorbitant consulting fees collected by members of the group.

“It raises questions about where the rest of the money ultimately went,” said Brendan Fischer, an attorney with the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center in Washington. “Generally speaking, you’d expect to see a major super PAC spend a majority or more of their money on advertisements and that’s not what happened here.”

The Lincoln Project attracted a massive audience of anti-Trump followers, but has long been characterized by some on the left and right as a money-making vehicle for the operatives involved.

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in November that the group had entered "scam territory."

I’m asking you, since you seem to always quote them. They have a history of molesting kids and you have a history of defending them.
Don't give me whatabouts. Why do you defend pedophiles?

Is the person accused still involved with the organization?

Yes or No?

And based on your pathetic inference - why are you still associated the party of pedos?

The filibuster is a recourse for a non representative government. Both parties have used it to block partisan agendas.

Let’s put in term limits first, then I’m happy to talk about the filibuster. These lifer politicians are the epicenter of all the corruption. Once they get in power their sole focus is staying in power.

Maxine Waters stays. That’s non-negotiatiable.

I know why.

Also for those arguing he was no longer with the Lincoln Project,

perhaps you could explain why they hid their knowledge for 5 months, until after the election......................(Hint: $$$$)

Weaver’s harassment of young men was first reported in January by the American Conservative; Scott Stedman, an independent reporter, and data analyst Garrett Herrin, who said they were harassed by Weaver; and Axios. At the end of the month, the New York Times published a detailed report.

The Lincoln Project denied having known of the allegations for months. Earlier this week, Schmidt told the AP no “employee, intern, or contractors ever made an allegation of inappropriate communication about John Weaver that would have triggered an investigation by HR or by an outside employment counsel.

“In other words, no human being ever made an allegation about any inappropriate sexualized communications about John Weaver ever.”

Alex Johnson, a former intern who alleges harassment by Weaver, said: “I really wanted to believe everyone that they didn’t know the extent of it. They made it seem like this was out of the blue and there wasn’t even a baseline knowledge at all. This just seems like they were lying; it seems like they were not being truthful to me.”

The AP report and others also contained details of Lincoln Project fundraising and fees paid to consulting firms owned by founding members. From the political right, the National Review, a longtime antagonist, responded with a stark headline: “Yes, the Lincoln Project Is an Ugly Grift.”

They sure dug deep for that one!

It's not wrong though.  If you really want to get people vaccinated, I"m not sure why Biden isn't pulling out the "duty of every American citizen" card, other than the fact that he lacks credibility.   Frankly, if I were a smart GOP senator who had dreams of the White House, I'd be all over the airwaves pushing that message now that Pfizer is FDA approved.   Trump already said it's good to be vaccinated, It makes you seem like you care about voters, and it also makes you seem like you aren't afraid to put the country ahead of politics.  Probably not a bad stump for Desantis, if only to put more shame on the AP, if that's possible at this point.

That breaks against the whole deep state government bad narrative. Why would people that don’t trust government be waiting for government approval on a vaccine?

Not everyone thinks the government is the devil.  A problem? Maybe. Devil? No.

As usual, the Lincoln Project lying for money.

Take the first line here:

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has banned vaccine mandates of any kind in a new executive order #txlege

And then comes the actual wording:

No government entity can compel any individual to receive a Covid - 19 vaccine.

See the difference, you can get the vaccine if you so chose and work for Texas, but the Government can't make you.

I was actually waiting for the Lincoln Project to embrace socialism if Bernie won the nomination.  How people can't easily spot scam artists is beyond me.

Lol, biden ran away like a scared little punk. He left men, women and children behind to fend for themselves in a war torn country.
He needs to be impeached and removed from office.

That fantasy is cute.  Over 100,000 people evacuated.

Tell us - why did Trump sign a deal with the Taliban and not include the Afghan government?

Spreading lies..........................for money.

Lincoln Project member wonders why you’re mad at Biden when 901 died of COVID under Ron DeSantis yesterday

OK, so we see where the Left is going with this today, a day when 13 U.S. service members were killed in a terrorist attack in Kabul and many more wounded. MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes reminded us all that “probably a THOUSAND people” would die of COVID-19 today, so what’re a few Marines, really? That take was so hot it also came to the Lincoln Project’s Keith Edwards, who notes that 901 people died of the coronavirus in Florida Wednesday, so who are you really mad at?

That covid number also isn't remotely correct.

You have to remember, we’re  dealing with people who have no qualms about lying. They have no morals.
You have to assume everything they say is a lie. It’s a disease they suffer from. They know right from wrong but they don’t care.

What am I missing, did DeSantis tell parents not to vaccinate their kids?  What's the point here?

He has no point.

The Florida governor is a threat to the liberal narrative,

and thus ALL lies about him are applauded.

He has spoken out against MANDATORY masking and vaccination,

he has NOT banned either as Billzy and the rest of the L.P. groupies keep lying about.

ADDED: I am aware that the question was not addressed to me, but you should be informed that there are NO direct answers by billZtime.
