The fins taking no prisoners to win the division.  Beane needs to strike back quick, with a monster deal to top that.

Better sign Ritchie now ;)

Now all they need is to bring Richie incognito back home to Miami as Wilson’s veteran mentor. It’s the circle of life ... *elton John voice*

But we need Ritchie to achieve nuclear parity with the Phins ;)

Sewell is a questionable top OT per Daniel Jeremiah who rank one better media draftniks. That said I'm not a Tua fan and if I'm Miami I pounce on Fields if the Jets take the kid from BYU.

I don’t think Fields is a top 15 pick.  Maybe not even first round, depending on how things shake out.

I suppose I'm the only person rooting for the kid.  Maybe he grows up.

He played  for The Tians and now plays for the Phins...we need him to be Cyrus Kouandjio ;)

Bizarre trade all around. Miami is stuck with paying $4.5m of Wilson’s guaranteed salary over the next 3 years.  Titans are off the hook for that $4.5m but take an extra cap hit of $1.85m this year by trading him because of dead cap from his signing bonus.  Titans now have only $8m in cap space.

Obviously, the Phins scouted Wilson last year and liked some things about him.  The Titans have generally drafted very well and they liked him as a late first rounder, so he has to have some talent...

He got the money and forgot what got him the money.

Sometimes they can't see the big picture......at least play great until you really break the bank on the second deal ;)

Some might argue that making many millions of dollars IS in fact breaking the bank.

I sure would. (Not dozens of millions, like some other NFLers rake in, but certainly enough to grow lifelong wealth).

This could be a great pick up for them if he gets his head straight.

The Titans are a good organization and have made the playoffs the past few years.  If he couldn't get his head on straight for them...

Sewell, Slater, whoever - if they had an OT at BPA there this move should not preclude that pick. They will not have any idea what they will get out of Wilson prior to the draft.

Not sure how anyone can criticize this. Dude is an idiot and one of the biggest busts ever but this is no risk. The Fins just to to him and saw we don’t give a crap where you were drafted. You are basically a 7th rounder. You don’t play well or do anything dumb, you are gone and will have the rest of your life to party because you will be done in the nfl.

love this type of moves provided the guy is not an abuser or killed someone.

I could see it if the Titans were a bad organization and team.  Or if he were going somewhere that isn't the party capital of the US.

They traded nothing for a 1st round talent. I would have zero problem If this bills did this. You just cut him. If anything, the Titans should have just held on to him.

Me either, but I think the Titans giving up on only 4 snaps is pretty telling that they dont think he is redeemable. I'd be surprised if he makes it out of camp

Oh, I have no problem with the trade.  I said it was low risk.  But I also said it would likely be low reward.

This.  They basically threw away a 1st round pick from last year and took a cap hit instead of trying to make it work.

Welp, thought it was a good low risk move. Talk about ruining your life. I will feel better about every bad decisions I make this weekend because at least I’m not on isiah Wilson’s level of blowing millions of dollars.

either this dude doesn’t like football or needs some serious mental health.

First time I will ever say it. You were right Doc. 😉

but that’s why you do a trade like that. You didn’t invest a first in him so you don’t put up with any of his nonsense. I can’t bleed d how big of a moron you have to be to get cut after 2 weeks though haha.
