Big Turk Posted December 14, 2020 Share Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) This was the play where Wallace almost got a pick 6...Big Ben was looking for Claypool but White pancaked him at the LOS and put him on his @ss and basically held him down on the ground...just a great, aggressive play against the short passes... Claypool has been tearing it up but was almost non-existent in yesterday's game except for a few short catches. It happens every game, the problem is it prevents the CB from covering as well if the WR gets away and can lead to a bigger gain if a pass is completed. And while contact is allowed, you're not supposed to tackle the receiver or hold him down, I'm pretty sure that's a penalty. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This isnt tackling because of how poor Claypool's awareness was on this play. I think Tre saw Claypool totally not looking in his direction, instead he was watchinjng for the snap, a rookie mistake if you care going to be that close to the line.
