I think I am in the 4th stage of depression which is acceptance, either way I am trying to wash yesterday as quickly as possible and some of that is revisiting the crappy past and laughing. Cardinals game successfully broke itself onto my worst list which I have below:

Worst losses:

1. 04 Steelers

2. 07 Cowboys

3. 99 Music City

4. 20 Cardinals (new addition yay lol)

5. 09 Patriots

6. 10 Steelers (dammit Stevie)

7. 07 Patriots (SNF)

8. 19 Texans

9. 08 Browns (wide left)
10. 09 Browns 6-3

I am 32 so I do not remember the SBs or 89 Harmon drop etc.. just what I have seen.

I’m not always the most optimistic fan, but to me that loss was due to a great play by a great WR.  I don’t think you could ask for better coverage by the defense.  Murray’s scrambling to allow that final throw was pretty impressive as well.  Bills played well enough to win and got beat by a stellar play.  I can accept that kind of loss.

It was a great play by Hopkins, my two complaints by the Bills are bat/swat the ball and you shouldve had G Davis back there or another WR. Even with that not sure how sizable the difference is.

The key takeaway is that while it was a tough way to lose, we are going to be on the winning side of a whole lot more of those games than the losing side.  Allen should have just completed his 12th 4th Q comeback of his young career and continues to show that when the game is on the line late in the 4th Q he just figures out a way to get it done regardless of what has happened in the game before that.  The dude is just so clutch, so calm, so cool under pressure that we should all be so happy that he will be here for the foreseeable future and that in big spots we can count on him to make it happen regularly.  So many teams don't have this...so many teams have it happen once in a while but the QB just doesn't have that "it" factor that allows it to happen regularly.

Allen definitely has "it".  Whatever that means.  That throw to Diggs in the corner of the endzone off his back foot was an absolute laser in a perfect place where only Diggs could make the play.

Yeah we lost on a flukey type of play, but the greater takeaway is that Allen continues to show us that late in games he will make things happen and win games for us and that is what has me excited.  If we play that game 100 times from the point after Allen gives us the lead, the only time we might have lost is yesterday. And that stuff is going to happen here and there. But Allen being able to come through late in games and in the 4th Q when we need him to is going to always be something that we have and that is so exciting to realize that we finally have a QB that doesn't wilt in the big moments, he shines in them.

It wasn't the Hail Mary play yet that's why they weren't playing for it, plus you can't complain about a call that puts your 3 best Dbs all over a WR that's making the catch.

I don't think they really had a chance to swat it down...the ball was perfectly thrown where Hopkins caught it at a higher point than the Bills players jumped. Whether it was better timing on the jump by him or him just having a few extra inches in height that let him do that doesn't really matter.  It's a bang bang type of play and it's easy to analyze things after the fact but in the moment you only have time to react and clearly Hopkins made a better play than our 3 guys did.

Exactly why i bring pressure.  It's not the hail mary play, and if you can bring down murray in bounds they run out of time.  So he likely scrambles out of bounds and then its the hail mary play.

This one hurt, can’t pretend like it didn’t.. One good thing that may come from this is this could light a fire under our teams rear ends.. We have a bye week and our guys should come back hungry.. Our schedule isn’t as hard as people think.. Should beat the Chargers, 9ers are winnable, Pittsburgh should be tough, Broncos, pats and Dolphins are winnable..  SHOULD still get the division..

I suggest you watch the Norwood miss on YouTube and then you can immediately put it #1.

Poyer wasn't at the high point of his leap when the ball got there otherwise he may have deflected it.  His jump was a tad too soon.

I don't know. I'm all for bringing pressure in big moments like that but everyone on defense did a good job and was in position to make a play.

12 seconds and no timeouts though - make them throw an out (murrays out routes were pretty off the entire afternoon), or scramble out of bounds.  Then set up for your actual hail mary with probably davis or diggs out there.

As I said at the top I am 32 and was 1 and 1/2 years old.. don't remember it, this is based off what I have seen. If I saw 25 or Harmon def would be at the top.

You forgot Denver scrambling their FG team on the field with 10 seconds left to kick the winning FG with like :01 left on the clock.

Saw it and Everett happened which may be why I don't ever list it or it didn't feel as bad. At that point football was secondary.

You can't have a top 10 without opening day September 12, 2004 vs Jacksonville.  Bills up 10-6 with 2:18 left. They're at Jags 33 and instead of letting Lindell try a 50 yard FG, Mularkey chooses to punt and take a 5 yard delay of game penalty to move the ball back to the 38.  Moorman fails to hit it inside the 10 & the Jags start at the 20 yard line.  With 1:18 to go the Jags are 4th & 14 on their own 34 when Clements let Jimmy Smith catch a 45 yard pass to the Bills 21.  Eventually the Jags get 4th & goal from the 7 with 4 seconds left. Leftwich hits Wilford on the last play of the game for a TD with 0:00 left and the Bills lose.
