Mistake? No. I think it was intentional. he demanded they go to the homes. Even when the homes told him the dangers posed to the patients he still demanded

SOOO.maybe things are closer to normal than we think. Battery issue on plane supposed to leave at 6:16 Eastern..best case scenario now 8:30...SNAFU is kinda comforting in a way!

I can’t speak for the rest of the states but Florida is way wrong... that number has been taken over multiple weeks not over night. It’s terrible reporting and they have been doing this for over 3 weeks now. It states it plainly in the article that this count is over “multiple weeks”. Take it for what it’s worth.

I've gotten in to so many discussions about the virus and our response to it with a buddy of mine; not a lib, more a moderate Dem that just hates Trump.

 

And every time we start taking about the virus and our response vs other countries, what the end game is etc, suddenly he's asking me why Trump is polling so bad?  Why is his approval so low?  

 

 

I'll say the schools should be open there is no hiding from this.  The kids are safe.  If you don't want to work, take the year off.  Or, when I tell him locking down is pointless and question the mask wearing and I'll say look at Australia locking back down.  Virus gonna virus.   

 

And he'll respond with "then how come Trump is losing support among his base?"

 

I'm like....wth?  What does any of the logic and data behind the virus have to do with Trump's polling??  

 

 

Its freaking insane.  But this is so spot on.  They are rooting for cases.....they are rooting for death and chaos.....they are convinced it's why Trump will lose.  

 

There have been lots of moments I knew this virus should not be taken as seriously as we are and that the draconian measures are a complete joke.  All of them.  The masks.  The mandated 6 feet.  The capacity limits.  All of them.

The Republicans should have been saying from the get go, "The Swedes are approaching this the right way."   

 

Where in history is the scientific evidence what Dems want to do actually works?  Where?  All we have is theories and studies being conducted during the pandemic trying to do what we can.......but the politics just can't help itself here.  

 

We knew in mid April who was most at risk.  But Democrats and the media wanted to continue a uniform nationwide shutdown.  Trump wanting to open on Easter!??  Omg no!  

 

There wasn't even virus in Texas.  Or Arizona.  Didn't emerge until late freaking June.  What exactly were states like these doing for 2 plus months other than watching their economies tank.  

 

Every state in the union minus the NE should have reopened in early April.  It would have solidified trust needed further in the pandemic.  How is it not obvious to everyone whenever we actually leave our houses and "reopen" they'll be more "cases!"  But this is ok now.  We know who is at risk.

 

We have a bunch of professional athletes testing positive for Corona, have zero symptoms, and they can't play.  Why?  How are you not at the point yet where it is so obvious that none of them are going to be hospitalized let alone die.  And this is true for 99.99% of the population under 55 and healthy.  Not only that, but evidence continues to mount that 80% of us have some or a lot of immunity to it.  That's why the models were all wrong----Cuomo said that btw.  

 

If you are at risk, YOU just treat everyone like they have it and take precautions.  Lay low.  Dont go out to eat if you so choose.  Dont get on a plane.  Offer these folks and those with comorbidities the option to telework.  

 

 

 

This should be where the entire world is by now.  But it shouldn't surprise us the very people that think they can control the temperature of the Earth, think they can micromanage an airborne virus.  That is peak humans 2020.

Trump won't do that.  Because it would be an admission that he unnecessarily shut down the economy.   He actually has mentioned Sweden in a negative light at least a good handful of times.

 

 

With that said, this is yet another interesting study that shows that HCQ with the right combo works.    None of the studies that have shown it not to work included this combo.   Yet, every study with this combo has shown it to work.

 

There is a good chance that this is going to be one of the largest scientific community failures that was politically/pharma motivated that I can think of in a long time.
