Trump officials celebrated efforts to change CDC reports on coronavirus

Even as career government scientists worked to combat the virus, a cadre of Trump appointees was trying to blunt the scientists’ messages, edit their findings and equip the president with alternate talking points, according to material obtained by the House’s select subcommittee on the outbreak.

The flu of 1918 killed a lot more people but went away rather quickly without a vaccine. What do you think explains that?

I don't pretend to understand the nuanced differences between the two diseases. How is this the same as that? How relevant 1918 is to this anyway? We have 100+ years of scientific progress since then and again, it's a different disease.

Because this isn't the plan.

We're going to need to find out how much money blue states need come budget time January 2022.

So mitigation (The CDS "recommendations" that suddenly replaced our Constitution, freedoms, and ruined our way of life indefinitely--especially kids, with no metrics or end game) will continue.

Fauci carefully using words like "some degree of normalcy" by mid winter or somd nonsense.

Anyone complying online lecturing people about following the rules is complicit in the insurrection and should be banished to Canada.  Where I was told they did it right and always had superior health care compared to us.

Michigan Democratic Governor Urges High Schools And Youth Sports To Voluntarily Suspend In-Person Activities

“It is less of a policy problem that we have and more of a compliance and variant issue that we are confronting as a state.”

When everyone in government making these "recommendations" with their guaranteed salaries, agree to stop getting paid maybe we will take them seriously.

This is how science works.  New studies lead to new data leads to new theories.

im saying it would have been nice six months ago. Back then it was told this thing stayed on surfaces for three days now it doesn’t live there.

You think it’s funny Trump held super spreader events?

You think it’s funny that Nancy told everyone to go to China town? Yiu think it’s funny that Lord Fauchi told everyone we had nothing to worry about in the United States?

Those statements were made very early before we realized the extent of the pandemic.  Trump didD his big events when the pandemic was in full force, when the value of masking and distancing were established, and after he admitted to Woodward how bad the pandemic was but the lied to the people.  You know this, so be better than this.

Did Trump hold events with mass numbers of people during a pandemic?

Yes or no?

Nope! Sorry Oldman. We differ here. The masking thing is far from settled. Look at the freaking data! And...The President doesn’t have to tell everyone everything all the time. Woodward is and was an arse.

Yes or no?

Yes he did. He never told people not to take precautions during those events. Did the Left hold and encourage fake peaceful riots during a pandemic?

The masking data is incontrovertible.  Laboratory and observational studies all indicate mitigation depending on the type of mask. And the leader of the country knew about the severity of the pandemic and abdicated his responsibility.

It of course stands to reason that if you wear a mask and never leave your house that you’ll be less apt to catch a transmittable disease...sure. But it’s simply not the President’s job to keep everyone from catching a disease. He has to weigh a lot of factors in making decisions and giving his opinion. He does so on dozens of topics every day. I have no problem with the decisions he made. You do, and that’s OK...we can choose to disagree.
