You'd think these guys in this era of #metoo, video everywhere and endless examples of nothing good happening after midnight in bars/hotels/casinos, they'd exercise a hell of a lot more situational awareness and stay the hell home and do whatever they are going to do...there.

If you're making millions of dollars or on track to be a multi-millionaire, you don't need to be in these places.  Ever.

and yet. the opposite seems to be the trend. money buys influence and leverage.

wrong is still wrong. But that line gets more blurred everyday in the younger generation.
even when the technology was not avaialble. Very little good occurs after midnight when out and about.
this is turning into an extreme Character problem for Hunt, thank goodness.
But Jerry Jones is watching it closely, and he a fine moderator for league values and ethics

What a BS statement.  What repercussions should a team get?  You sign him when he can't play so we penalize you for $1mm.   You gave the guy a chance and signed him and he didn't do it under your watch - he can't play and never played for you - we are taking your 5th.

God the news is stupid these days.   Bleacher report has always set that bar so high

Again, he's admitting to and "remorseful" of it AFTER a video came out in which there is no way he can lie his way out of it. Do you expect him to say, "F*** that ho. She deserved it."? It's all for show and salvage purposes.

The flip side is did you expect him to go on tv remorsefully even if genuine about his feelings had the tape not come out?of course he wouldn’t.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but what does being put on the commissioner's exempt list even mean?

I believe it means you don't count against your team's active roster and must stay away from team activities, but the team still has to pay you

(vs. being suspended, where they don't)

they have a catch-all to take care of unforeseen emergencies affecting the roster?

Gotta love the 'one night out' narrative trying to minimize the incident;  as if Hunt was an altar boy his whole life until 'one night out'.   Let me guess...things somehow got out of control!

He'll play again.

Doubtful. This isn't all that different to the Ray Rice situation.

He won't play this year or next. That's alot of lost playing/practicing time .  He likely won't be the same player should he come back.

It's quite a bit different and some team will surely sign him on a dirt cheap contract as a 23 year old just in his 2nd season after he completes counseling.
