A tragic opinion. The efforts of the Fed in 2008 had to do with saving our entire capital structure, without favorites, and brilliantly executed. It could have been way, way worse.

The voices who disagreed were silenced in favor of pushing through the administration's agenda. That's not to say everyone who thought there were WMD were lying, plenty believed it inside the IC (hence, confirmation bias), that would be as inaccurate as saying it was a universally agreed upon position. It wasn't. And because it wasn't, the IC used its media mouthpieces to push the opinion into fact territory in the MSM. The same model was used in 2002-2003 which we say used in the Russia narrative in 2016-2017.
