I know, just busting chops.

Nothing seems to be preventing everyone from posting serially redundant threads without looking first.

Ah my bad. I hear you. I have no right to be thread police but the Hurns thing was like right there! Its all good.

That list actually has about 5 guys that would be an upgrade to what we currently have.

Besides Thompson, the only name on that list that is big fast and can stretch the defense is Brice Bulter.. he had some good moments for the cowboys last year.. But they didn't play him much... I wonder why... Maybe injury related.. He is better than Zay right now.... That's not saying much..  Gid Zay is sorry...

Judging from some people on this forum, the Bills don't need WR's because we have a new OC, & don't know what the offense will look like.

Which is just laughable... we need weapons, especially if we're planning on drafting a QB. I can see us drafting a DJ Chark in the 2nd, making a play for Meredith from the Bears. After those possible moves our WR group will look good

The wide receiver contracts that've been handed out this free agency are pricey.

- Sammy got $16M per year

- Allen Robinson got $14M a year coming off a missed season to an ACL tear, and with only 1 real good season in his career (2015)).

- Paul Richardson got 5yr $40M (and he has 1300 total yards in his 4 year career)

- Albert Wilson got $8M a year (and his best season is just over 500yds)

- Ryan Grant got 4yr $29M from Baltimore before he failed his medical (he has 84 receptions for 980 yards in his entire 4yr career).

I dont think the Bills are looking to hand out silly money to a WR in free agency, especially when they don't really even have their QB on the roster yet.

They also don't have any real stability at the QB position right now. Nobody knows who the QB will be this season, let alone next.

If these free agency WR's have teams interested with clearer situations at QB, those teams may be much more appealing right now. Bills might be at a disadvantage in the WR market at the moment.

Good post. We are definitely not in a good position. The one thing that we can offer guys is playing time. Sometimes guys just want to have a chance to play.
