The #3 pick won’t cut it. It’s got to be the #1 or bust

Recommended Posts

The other teams that secured QBs are still in the market, Cleveland, Denver and the Jets, and are in striking distance of leapfrogging the #3 pick. Buffalo is suddenly short on options and if they have 1 particular QB in mind then they better not fool around and jeopardize their opportunity of securing a franchise QB.

Gotta have a dance partner. Browns aren't moving out of 1. Giants might move but they don't have to either. It's not Madden, the team with the pick doesn't HAVE to trade anything, no matter what is offered.

A math lesson:

If the Bills move up to #3, they will have the option of picking 2 of these 4 QBs:

Rosen

Darnold

Mayfield

Allen

This is the worst case scenario, because it's possible that the #1 and #2 picks do not go with QBs.

DUCY?

I'm excited and anxious, but really not that worried about Denver or NYJ (or Arizona for that matter).

With their recent QB signings, Denver and NY are still in the hunt. But no one is as desperate as us, and no one has nearly the amount of resources to spend on moving up.

Additionally, as @DefenseWins just posted, assuming Cleveland takes a QB, and Bills take a QB at #2/3, the Broncos and Jets could stay put, not spend anything, and still get shots at 2 Top-4 QBs.

Cleveland is obviously taking a QB, the jets are not trading up with contracts given out to Bridgewater AND McCown, Denver wants to win now and so will build around Keenum and get a QB down the road.

The sky is not falling relax.
