I've heard Buffalo likes Kyle Lauletta-QB Richmond as well. I've been tweeting about him for months so I was super excited to see him do well during Senior Bowl week. I think he's a 2nd Rounder.

I agree I think this kid is a baller. Ive heard the pats do too. I wouldn't even be upset if we couldn't trade up if we waited and tried to get this kid in the 2nd

....good assessment and I agree..........just a hunch Beane picks Rudolph at 21/22..............plays his draft capital conservatively as well as FA dollars......don't see him doing major investment(s) in a single player.....

I wonder where Rudolph would rank on the list above? I admit I was intrigued by a couple early season games I saw him in. How much was the system, lousy defenses and his WR’s? No idea.

I will give you the concussion part of the argument. But not the personality attack sorry

The concussion part concerns me a lot, too. I’d overpay for the right guy.  I’d be more nervous about his long term availability than his ability.

Man, I have been daydreaming about this all day now (ever since I first read this thread). I would be pumped to get any of the top 3 QBs in this draft (Rosen, Darnold and Mayfield). Rosen never really even seemed like a possibility though.

I still think its its a long shot, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my hopes up at least a little bit.

...good question bud.......at times, he seems like an afterthought.......early on, Falk was in the discussions and absolutely disappeared from the radar.......maybe I'm reading too much into it, but McBeane personally scouted Rudolph twice, first at the WVU game and then his bowl game.....several mocks have the kid there at 21/22 while others do not even have him in the 1st.....from what I've read, he seems to be a safe but perhaps unsexy pick at 21/22, so we'll have to wait for McBeane.....stay tuned.....

.....hell Augie, we signed Kolb as our vet presence despite being concussed FIVE times......no noodle left and trips over "The Mat"....top five worst hire in franchise history..........

Rosen interest is a ploy only. No way Bills ship two years worth of draft picks for a QB who is prone to concussions and is a self centered jerk. Bean and McDermott would be committing career suicide.

It would be career suicide and it was set the team back at least five years. Rosen is a nice enough kid but if he's just not that into football. Let the Browns & Giants fight over him.

Complaining about the hotbed thing is ridiculous imo. Gronk had a hottub in college, he also bought the house he was living in and trashed it thrown insane parties. Is he spoiled and entitled? No, he's Gronk so he's just a meathead. Perception just works against this guy

I'm sure Gronk would make a great cerebral qb. Almost Peyton worthy. Dribbler back to the mound....

...perfect reference to the lack of the "head 'n heart" meter......invent that and you'll be an overnight billionaire......what's in his head?...can he process the speed and complexity of the game at this level?....what's in his heart?......the game?......the cash?.......the game first and the cash will be there?....the cash first and the game as an afterthought because "I cashed"?....the willingness to put in substantial work even after I get the cash?....paralysis by analysis STILL comes with NO warranties....was, is and forever will be a crap shoot..."with the next selection the Buffalo Bills choose....."......................

...Casserly said last night on NFLN that Rosen is the best "pro ready QB" but still ranks him 2nd behind Darnold......said that Eli probably plays two more years and Rosen sitting for those two is a waste.......

Didn't some draftniks say last year that Peterman was the most "Pro ready" QB in the draft?

I can see the Giants investing in a QB. Just not in round 1. Lauletta or White make the most sense to me for them.

I want the Bills to use the picks that they have in the draft.  They need quality starters, and with four picks in the first two rounds, we have the potential to get some good, young players and fill needs.  Having said that, I do understand trading up for a QB that they believe will be a long-term answer to our long-standing QB need, particularly since we will have our QB cost controlled for at least a few years and we will have a huge amount of cap space in 2019 to add quality free agents and fill holes.

Holes can be patched in free agency.

If the Bills get a franchise QB in this draft it would become no worse than their second best draft class ever.........the best being 1983 which yielded Jim Kelly and Daryl Talley.

You can get 5 Pro Bowlers at various positions in a draft but QB so outweighs the value of the next tier of positions that it renders the conversation moot.

The Bills did exactly what you are saying you want in 2012 and came away with Gilmore, Glenn and Bradham out of their first 4 picks.........dudes who became outstanding players........but in the process they passed on Russell Wilson.    Nix clearly made a mistake thinking that drafting a QB early at that point in the organization's development was like putting the cart before the horse.

...EXACTLY....Gruden said Peterman was "THE most ready NFL QB I've seen in years"......Brylcream Mel said he was the most likely to be the "Tom Brady of the 2017 class"....BUT in the kid's defense, he barely got his big toe NFL wet..but the TBD "One and Done Gang" already declared his era (WTF?) over and he's a bust.....I'd rather contract leprosy versus being drafted by Buffalo with these clowns judging me............

I'm going to take it one step further in defense of Peterman. Guy has heart. Doesn't help that his main position coach is basically a WR coach. He's smart, he's still got potential. I could easily see him as a Todd Collins that developed a tad later in his career. But one thing he wasn't is ready for the speed of the game. No coincidence that his best game came in a blizzard when everyone else was slowed down.

Because it will take at least 3 first round picks and more....the Bills will not be stupid enough to do it.   The Bills desperately need help at OL, WR, DL, LB, and RB.  The roster will have a have a huge turnover.   There will be a QB available without selling the farm.....and Beane will take him at 21 or 22.

If they feel a franchise QB is within reach.... I am fine with them doing what it takes. We still have two 2nd rounders this year, the rest of the draft and FA to fill holes. Getting a franchise QB on a 5 year rookie contract will help!

So you would give the Eagles a 1st for Nick Foles but wouldn't take Josh Rosen? Interesting take. Think you might be on your own there.

I get it as wel. But one thing is for sure NFL QBs get a ton more protection by rules than College QBs do

...I do like what he has shown as far as the mental aspects of the game which is a far more important trait to me...the physical nature can be developed by the S&T staff......teaching mental and "speeding up the brain to adapt" is a huge question mark as far as attaining success.................

Not sure that can be emphasized enough.

It actually gets less dangerous for QB's when they reach the NFL.

And fwiw........Aaron Rodgers was on his 3rd or 4th bad concussion in 2010........and on his way out of the league.........when Goodell decided you couldn't hit QB's......or WR's in the middle of the field.....and began bludgeoning the Steelers defense with fines to emphasize the point.     7 years later concussions are no longer much of an issue for him.

The Charger game was the LAST game Peterman should have been inserted. I like McD, but that was a boneheaded and ill-timed decision. I don’t know what’s true and what’s fiction, but if Dennison insisted on that he’s lucky to have made it through the season. Even if he wanted Peternam, he would have been wise to wait for another week.
