This is for all the posters that think he's primarily a "running" QB and for the others that think he's not "cerebral" enough or " can't read defenses". Erik also mentions the comparisons that some make of him and Tyrod and states that he's a BETTER passer than Tyrod already. You will have to go through the McGlinchy breakdown first though. Enjoy. The Chiefs coach took the podium at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday and sarcastically dismissed the idea that the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner would be best served by ditching quarterback in favor of a different position at the next level. We have been using the dual threat QB and I think it's obvious the management wants to steer away from tyrod and his style. I'd be very surprised if they go with another dual threat, especially when I honestly think tyrod is arguably the most athletic qb in the NFL and I don't think you get much better scrambling/rushing out of a qb. I don't think management is willing to take the risk on a new and improved dual threat and have him bust when tyrod was already in the building. I think Beane has been very explicit about wanting a guy who can operate as a pocket passer. That said, I think Beane has in mind who and what he wants at this point, and who and what he'll give up to get him. I would expect Jackson to be a ways down on his list, well behind Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, and possibly Rudolph, all of whom I see as more polished passers. I wouldn't see us moving up to take Rudolph or Jackson. Maybe down? I wouldn't mind if the Bills draft Jackson, provided they commit to developing him as he is and not trying to make him something he isn't. I really hope we're not part of the Allen love, though.
