Misterbluesky
The last two times we went, including tonight, the food was bad.dehydrated frozen meat or smoked many days before.the French fries were even a mess..more like half pinkie sized fragments from a wholesale place..likely Willowbrook farms.Jambalaya was whacked as well..way over spiced.i doubt they survive since Greg seems like he has either moved back home or sold to wannabes smokers. NobesBLO13
Agreed on the fries, but went there this past Friday and got a half rack of ribs. They were pretty good no complaints.

LabattBlue
I knew it was up for sale, but did not know it had sold yet. This is very disappointing to hear. It was my favorite BBQ joint. Great food, reasonable prices, and super quick service. Edited December 18, 2017 by LabattBlue

BringBackFergy
I’ve been to BW’s BBQ over in Hamburg/Blasdell several times. Pretty solid ribs and brisket. Good food. Totally different from Dinosaur, but a nice alternative if you’re looking for some BBQ in the southtowns.

Good to hear. That's one place I use, on occasion, as a pre/post airport stop---if I have a lot of time to kill and/or am meeting The Senator (it's not too far from his parents' house). Not sure if I ever had the food there, but have always been curious. It just seems like they probably have good BBQ. I thought the BBQ (and fried chicken) would be better, here in North Florida---but it's just OK, for the most part. There are a couple very good spots, though. Maybe it just that I'm not crazy about the style some of them use. The best thought of places down here have tough ribs, IMO. Fortunately I've found a couple places with great BBQ. One restaurant and one roadside BBQ pit (in front of the guy's house) that only operates on Saturday afternoon. That mofo knows his Q.

Gray Beard
I'm in Syracuse occasionally. Dinosaur generally doesn't disappoint. There are some other places in Syracuse that are pretty good as well, such as Limp Lizard. There are others, but I can't think of their names right now.
