Burfict was in a defenceless posture but I'm not sure watching the replay that JuJu hit him in the head. Looks to me like contact might have been a shoulder high to the chest with no helmet to the head or neck. And JuJu did not "launch". Always had at least one foot on the ground, left foot at contact. And of course it wasn't penalized on the field either. It's hard to watch as you can see Shazier's head compressed into his body, followed by his legs going limp and his obviously panicked reaction with his hands. That's why this kind of "tackle" is supposed to be illegal. The NFL still - after all the talk about concussions, CTE, settlement funds, etc., etc. - still does not take the issue seriously. I have seen him lay out guys with vicious headshots multiple times. Not saying he deserved what happened tonight, but...live by the sword.... Mort said it was a " done deal" on ESPN during the early part of 1st round. DeAgelo hall got picked by ATL and the Texans got spooked that Dunta Robinson wouldn't be available for them with the Bills pick. They cancelled the deal at the last minute.
