Met Life security is a joke

Recommended Posts

I went to the game with Gugny and Cletus. I won't go into the gory details but it was obvious that stadium security was focused on harassing Bills fans. The young drunk locals would target anyone in Bills gear then call security claiming we were hassling them.

I'm talking obviously drunk 19-20 somethings accusing sober 50-somethings of starting schitt, and the biased and clueless security guys and NJ state police would immediately escort the Bills fans out.

I even saw a security guy come back and hi-five the drunk azzholes after ejecting Bills fans. It was a freaking disgrace.

I live in NJ and have in the past gone to many Bills games at the Meadowlands. But its gotten to the point where between the drunken and/or obnoxious Jet fans, I no longer go. I can see the stupidity spreading to the guys who are supposed to be there to maintain order.

Happen once or more? And i know we are old and not our first instinct, but need to pull out phone and capture on video

Yeah it was bad a few years ago when I went. We're not shy about what team we support but we try not to be annoying with it. We were drinking and every time we walked past the security in our section we would ask if we're being a problem. The couple guys that were there in the first half all said we were fine and keep cheering on your team it's a football game.

After half time some younger jets fans moved into empty seats in our section and started to throw stuff at us. Other fans complained about it and security came and gave us a warning saying if they had to come back they were going to throw us out. I tried talking to the lady but she wasn't having any of it so I requested to speak to her supervisor. She didn't like that and said were gone. We're standing waiting for an escort out and a bunch of jet fans in our section came down and are telling them we weren't doing anything wrong and it was the younger jet fans that were the problem. It took a lot of them to come down before a supervisor came and listened before finally letting us go back to our seats. Was told by the supervisor "that's what I get for being a bills fan"

I was there last night. Everyone was pretty good natured, but there were 6 (young 20's) Bills fans sitting behind me (and my Jets fans friends) that were popping off way more than they should. They are lucky they didn't get pummeled by everyone around them.

In my book, when you go to the other team's stadium - you cheer for your team and don't talk **any** sh*t towards the other teams fans.

Happened twice. Two sets of Bills fans ejected because the Jersey Shore types decided to target them. Yes, too slow to think to make a video. I actually stepped up to give my account to the NJ Trooper (who dress like Russians military officers, IMO) but the guy didn't care since I was wearing a #5 TT jersey. I should be grateful I didn't get tossed.

Two other things stood out to me. 1) Jets fans arrive at the end of the 1st quarter and leave at the start of the 4th.

2) They don't even watch the game. Too busy mugging for group selfies.

Wasn't me.

Trust me, everyone in my section wearing Bills gear were following that rule. But I think it was a contest among the punks to see how many opposing fans they could get tossed. One group certainly knew the security guard personally.

Last Bills Jets game I went to was like 5 years ago in Jersey.

Had issues from the start. I paid for stadium parking. When I get to the lot, Jet fans had their cars and trucks parked sideways instead of in the parking spot. Meaning, one car was taking up 3 parking spaces.

I'm not a "start shìt 1st" kind of guy but I'm also not afraid of confrontation. After circling the lot a few times, stress started entering my mind. Then somebody threw something on my car. I don't know who did it or what it was they threw but it was a tough enough object to startle me but thankfully not tough enough to make a dent or scratch the paint. I stepped out the car and started yelling at whichever green jersey I saw. Nobody claimed it.

After that day i said, I'm never driving to a Bills Jets game in jersey ever again. If I ever DO go, it will be by train since the train leaves u literally by the stadium...

different stadium but i went to the jp losman bucs game like 12 years ago or so. a buddy of mine got heckled all game and didn't do anything for like 3 quarters and finally just said yo man shut the f up as he's going up to the bathroom. as he comes back the heckler is talking to security and they grab my friend. the heckler was a cop and flashed his badge. then like 5 cops from 5 rows back walk up and tell security to toss the other cop. i didnt see it as i was over in different seats but i guess the guy had the look of utter shock. it was the best case of justice i've seen. it doesnt often happen like that.

From my experience, that is a rare scenario indeed.

Buffalo security always gives Bills fans the benefit of the doubt as well. ALWAYS.

It's unfortunate but when traveling you can't allow yourselves to be drawn in by the oppositions fans.
