Smart move would have been try and get the 1st there when everyone and their mother is expecting a run. Call a play action and throw the ball. No that would be completely stupid that close to your own endzone and int can turn into a pick six quickly then you would be completely insufferable. Yoo have been pretty insufferable already. One is to keep the clock running. I see you understand that point. The other is the chance of turning the ball over is greatly reduced. I see you dont see that point. The positives of getting a first (when the game is over) is not outweighed by the chance of throwing an int (and making the game not over).
