Not sure if this one I posted up thread...  Fitting with the dark nights drawing in again:

"...Thank God the dark nights are drawing in again
'cause high summer has got me down
I'll wait till the end of August
And get off this merry-go-round

And they shut him out of paradise
Called him Lucifer and frowned
She took pride in what God made him
Even before the angels shot him down to the ground

He's a light out of the darkness
And he wears a starry crown
If you see him, nothing will shake him
'cause high summer has got him low down..."

@ExiledInIllinois

I recall when this "Jagged Little Pill} album dropped her rise was meteoric and we had this brash outspoken speaking for a Lot of girls rocker chick just layin' it OUT......Her stardom and marriages blah blah blah well she fell off my radar and now is on a Fox TV show as a Judge with long dyed blonde hair (thumbs down stay brunette  alanis) ..anyway this next one I'll edit in was my fav or hers especially from this album.

my son who is a musician/dj picked out this next song selection. I told him about the thread he liked it 🙂 I asked he to make a contribution and this was it. He said it was a badass song from the Boogie Nights soundtrack.

I find the Megadeth version intriguing. A cover closer to the original, but from an unexpected side...

Big fan of BOC. Secret Treaties was my fave studio album of theirs - but their first two live albums are what hooked me.  My fave song from each:

The lead guitar on this one is outstanding.

The lyrics in this one are outstanding (Like acid and oil in a madman's face his reason tends to fly away)

These guys were local to our neighborhood. Saw them many times at the Arcade and Red Creek. They went on to be a national act, and I actually saw them in the 80's in Phoenix.

My Roomate was a drinking acquaintence of Greg Walker, and Greg once gave him 4 of their albums (including this one) as a souvenir when he visited his studio, they are one of his prized possessions to this day.
