SinceThe70s Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Back to the 80's, this time with a 'hair band'. Not gonna lie, bands like Motley Crue that started out edgy got me into the hair bands. Went to L.A. for a wedding when the hair bands were in full swing and I recorded a few hours of local radio cuz we weren't getting that on the east coast. This song was a product of that and I still like it. My attitude about hair bands was/is that I wished everyone considered this pop. Good times. 1 Quote

The fact that they had a bunch of songs still in the can when HotH was released (Houses Of The Holy, The Rover, Down By The Seaside, Night Flight, Black Country Woman) that were IMO better than several tracks on that album is an argument in your favor though. Let's go with one of those old ones, my mind choice off Physical Graffiti these days with everybody dying (most recently referenced above, Brent Hinds of Mastodon who had someone make a left turn in front of him on his Harley yesterday) 1 Quote

Enough so he took me to my first Broadway play based on their music back in the day. Actually now that I think of it Annie was the only other Broadway play I’ve been too…, was an 8th grade graduation trip 1 1 Quote

I wrote and rewrote my reply to this about a half a dozen times because I can’t remember the last time a celebrity death affected me this much. One of if not the most unique, versatile, and underrated guitarists of the 21st century without a doubt. The fact that he and the rest of the band were on bad terms and will never get to settle it is just heartbreaking. I’m so happy I got to see them live for the first time shortly before he left. SCBills Posted August 23 Posted August 23 MGK - Lost Americana is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard that I never knew I’d like. No skips. Just pure 2000’s energy. Quote
boater Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Funny (to me at least)...I wanted to hear Dave Brubeck Quartet. I entered it into the search bar.. I fat fingered and clicked the wrong result and ended up with Beck, I liked it. Quote
