Find me a #2 Reciever after Round 2 In draft

Don't know anything other than what I've read about this guy so I'll turn this over to someone with firsthand knowledge:

 

Chad Hansen (Cal.)--seems like he's got a back story--transfer to Cal from Idaho State.

 

According to PFF he's a work in progress, who they have as the 97th overall player, so he might be around in the 3rd--he is a physical deep threat who can go up and get the ball (had a bunch of deep ball receptions--Tyrod can throw a deep ball!). They compare him to Demaryius Thomas (pretty bold) and he could be the "high pointing" WR that Buddy Nix could never find us .

Awesome post! Glad someone is shedding some light on this kid. Love his style, plays a little stiff at times and isn't the greatest route runner yet, but man he has a full tool box. Def couold see him sneaking into the bottom of the second or early third.

Kupp’s appeal and strength was never as a burner. He is a precise route runner, with decent size, football smarts and great hands. He won’t outrun them in space, he uses movement and misdirection, coordination and speed/direction changes to get separation, not blinding speed. A middle of the field, slot guy who will fight for yards after the catch in traffic. A perfect complement to Watkins. But don’t expect him to be there beyond the mid 2^nd round. Not sure he would be a #2, but would be a perfect #3 WR.

I agree with everything you said. I think Kupp would be a great number 3, I would be very happy with him in the third round. There is no way I am drafting him in the second though, he is not athletic enough to be a number 2 in the NFL.

 

I think he's a top 6-8 WR in the class

 

Don't see him lasting til the third

Josh Reynolds is another guy that is flying under the radar.

I agree, he is more of a Robert Woods. Although I'm not sure he would be quite as good as Woods was. But then again, I have not seen him play enough to know. I really like his ability & potential, but I'm not sure I would use OUR 2nd on him. If we were to trade down in the 1st, grabbed a QB in the late first, and picked up an extra late 2nd, I would take him. I would definitely take him in the third if we had not already taken Williams, Davis in the 1st.

I'm intrigued by Robert Davis (6'3", ran a 4.44 with a 41 inch vert at the combine), he's a cousin of the Panthers Thomas Davis and went for 8-93-1 vs Wisconsin (Corey Davis had 6-73-1 against them).

 

I thought Josh Malone had stretches where he look pretty interesting at Tennessee, he played against "NFL" DBs in the SEC and is also 6'3" and had the 3rd fastest 40 time (4.40).

You may find a guy (maybe Godwin) but you can't bank on it. The Bills WILL select a receiver before the end of round 2.

Yeah agreed. At this point I say its WR in the first and DB in the 2nd and 3rd. The draft is DEEP in DB talent.

What worries me about Reynolds is his frame. Seems as if he might not be able to carry too much more on it and I don't see him having the strength as this level.

 

Almost like a Justin Hunter type now that I think about it.

He's 6'2", 205, ran a 4.46, all-time leader in catches in the FBS. Wins at high pointing the ball, solid route runner, high football IQ and character. On the downside, his production was a result of being a focal point in the offense. His game-speed is said to be average and that he'd have to work to improve his speed and separation in routes. Seems to be a type of player McDermott would covet though, along with his character and IQ he has a tremendous work ethic.

Exactly. I fore one think after Davis, Williams and Ross, Jones might be the next/best WR off the board. I love Smith-Schuster, but the extent of his health pushes him down a bit. I don't really like Samuel from OSU, and I don't think Kupp is going to go high.
