-Lesean McCoy career numbers in south beach are terrible. Maybe it's not such a bad thing that TD mike gets more/all carries this week.

-Marshawn Lynch was all set to be a packer before they backed out and Beastmode went to Seattle to win rings. Green Bay FO under fire for current state of affairs. Too much being put on late draft picks.

-QBR is garbage and should be eliminated. According to qbr Bortles is 14th and Gabberts better than Russell Wilson.

Just to clarify, he's referring to ESPN's garbage total QBR system, not the traditional passer rating system.

McCoy has played all of 2 NFL games in "South Beach" (that is, in the decidedly less sexy Miami Gardens). But hey, Mike Lombardi has detected a trendline! Next up: EJ Manuel is undefeated at Soldier Field. Take it to Vegas, Billy Boy!

What an impressive sample size. Never mind the fact that his team won both games by double digits.

WTF is this? Is he saying Packers wanted in on Marshawn before he was traded..and then backed away...and somehow that failed ability to land a retired player is affected the Packers today?

The old fashioned passer ratings tell us something, but they're imperfect.

Noticing this, ESPN went out and created an even more imperfect system.

By the way, Tyrod is #9 in QBR right now. Does anyone really believe he's having the 9th best season of any NFL QB this year?

Saying this slightly differently, if the NFL invalidated all QB contracts and held a special draft, would Taylor be the 9th QB taken? QBR rankings say he's the 9th best (and had him #7 last year).

The ESPN system is certainly flawed, but I'll at least give them credit (and it's hard to type that) for trying to incorporate more of how the team does into rating a QB. The traditional rating is strictly a "passer" rating and doesn't take into account anything besides the QB's specific passing stats.

By the ESPN metric the Bills are getting the 9th best overall QB play as a team, which is probably not too far off since only four teams have better records, no?

He was saying the packers system of not signing free agents and relying on late draft picks has the roster void of talent.

Signing Marshawn is not a typical packers move, it was a 90% done deal before they backed out.

Happy with the sample size now mister ?

Umm, no ... that's not how it works. Besides, didn't you start the "Place for Shady Doubters to Repent" thread? And yet you doubted Shady because... Miami???? I'm just a tiny bit confused.

What's not how it works ? Sample size is 3 crap games instead of 2.

Lombardi nailed it.

Lombardi nailed it.

Because anyone who would make personnel or betting decisions on something as random as a running back not performing well (or the opposite) in a certain city/stadium is a fool. What would explain this phenomenon?

- Shady doesn't like the Miami playing surface? Ok, maybe if he said so. Or maybe if it's part of some larger (and maybe statistically significant thing) like natural grass vs. artificial turf.

- Shady parties too hard in Miami the night(s) before games?

- the Miami fans somehow get in his head?

Or is it that even very good players have poor games, and unless there is some reason a coach/analyst can point to, this should just be ascribed to randomness? That seems to me to be by far the best explanation, especially since it isn't even opponent-specific, but location specific. Otherwise, you are saying that the obvious rational explanation -- he was playing hurt -- is somehow overwhelmed by the magical explanation that he just doesn't perform in Miami.
