Another triumph. Pretty sure if we check out the Chicago boards we're going to see a send off for Bennett not to different from the last Mario thread. He's a great talent, but will he show up for them? Will he be happy and feel respected in a complementary role to Gronk? He's a better player than Kujo, but like Kujo's nowhere near a 41st player selected player, he's nowhere near a top 10 draft pick player. Cooper only played because he was a top-10 pick. Yeah, they figure out a way to stay under the cap and make the playoffs every year and we can't figure out how to even be a threat. I think referring to either Hogan or Bennett as "great" is a monumental stretch. They have marginally improved their receiving options. Cooper is a bad OL. On defense, they let a top notch player in Jones go, and replaced him with a far worse player in Long. People's overestimation of the brilliance of the Pats knows no bounds. Per reporter Dan Wiederer, Bennett offered "minimal effort to conform to the unselfish and focus-driven culture" the Bears are trying to instill under coach John Fox. Wiederer also confirms Bennett's late season ribs injury, which landed him on injured reserve for four games, was essentially a sham. In the end, the sides' divorce boiled down to the fact that Bennett wanted a better contract and the Bears were dead set against it. Meanwhile in Buffalo our team who hasn't had a sniff of the playoffs in more than 15 years, barely manages an 8-8 record. and can't do jack because they're in cap jail again.
