Teaming up with a Sanders view could be powerful, it did take 43% of the 2016 primary votes, and every one of them MEANT IT....

just sayin'

No. The best thing for the Democratic Party would be for Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea to move into the woods and stay there. A progressive platform distancing themselves from cooperate democrats is where the party should go. Similar to the rise of the Tea Party on the right in '09.

Agreed. But they'll find a way to flip the progressive wing of the party into the pro-war party before they ever let that happen...

...Oh wait, they've already done that.

Funny how the timing of this has worked out...

And Hillary finally gives permission for his wife to file for divorce.

Which is pretty astounding considering nobody really knew who he was. He also won Michigan and Wisconsin against Hillary. That alone should of been a huge red flag for Hillary not to take them for granted. Again, her judgement was awful during the campaign.

The Dems HAVE to go that direction and push the party to the left like the Tea Party pushed the GOP to the right. They're the minority in every level of government, but instead of looking themselves in the mirror they're blaming Russia for why the lost. Also, the playbook Bernie used of not taking money from Wall Street or corporations but from individual donations will be key to whoever runs. You're going to need a populist on the left to beat a populist on the right.

what's the timing?

If he gets less than 1 year the system will not do justice. For what he's done 2 yrs is appropriate with SOR required for 15 years per the wetterling acr

They're losing elections all across the country to libertarians and conservatives, and the solution is to run further to the left?

Yes. Trump's message of keeping jobs in America by renegotiating trade deals and putting money into infrastructure is a progressive message and the main reason people who voted for Obama in '08 and '12 switched over to Trump in '16 in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Majority of Americans are in favor of UHC (every poll I've seen since election shows more support it than oppose it), breaking up the banks, and not giving tax breaks to big businesses and the rich with the increasing wage gap inequality. There's a lot of Republicans on this board who will scoff at this (how are you going to pay for it?), but if you show me a valid poll that contradicts any of those four policies I mentioned I'll gladly say I was wrong.

Also, historically two term presidents lose a significant amount of state houses, state senates, governors, house seats, and senate seats from when they first take office until they leave. In fact, since 1952 no party has ever gained seats at any level after a 8 year term of that party's president. That includes Reagan and Clinton. So, the political landscape we're in right now is actually pretty predictable. I believe the reason it was slightly more pronounced under Obama was because of the Tea Party and the Democratic Party playing identity politics and forgetting the white, working class voter.

The timing being once Comey was fired, there was sudden progress on this case...

...Almost as if Weiner/DOJ wanted to get it over with before the next head of the FBI could be chosen. Whatever deal he cut might not hold up in the next administration.

This just in: The Hill shares article from far-left website which argues that not only was Weiner set up, but, hey, she was closer to 17 than 15, and sexting with a 16 year old in NC is perfectly legal, so what's the big deal?

Yeah, yeah, so Weiner admitted he thought she was 15 and still tried his best to go full pedophile, but that's not the story. He's the victim here!

Normalizing pedophelia is all the rage these days for some.

Wonder why that is.
