Is this defense just average?

Recommended Posts

A great defense gets their offense the ball back after we scored our TD and were within 6 points. This team is all about defense and most of their salary cap money is on that side of ball. We need them to make plays and be above average when the game is on the line, not miss tackles. Just saying.....

How many 3 and outs by the offense today? How many missed points in the redzone but the offense?Just saying...

Once again we have more money on our D-LINE then any team in the league, they need to start making plays and getting us turnovers. Tired of seeing average results from the side of ball that has the most money invested in it. Did they play bad? no but we also don't have a 15-20 million dollar QB. They need to make big plays for us to win against teams with good QB'S

Perhaps it may be earily but after 4 games I have not seen anything special about this defense. How many sacks do we have and how may passing yards have they given up? I would prefer we start playing more aggressive which gives us more turnover opportunities. Teams are coming out and do what they please, that is not a sign of a great defense.

This defense is the bad bad Leroy Brown of the NFL.

The disguises aren't doing anything other than pulling players out of positions they are comfortable in. It's time to stop being cute and let our DL rush the passer and bring blitzers from multiple angles. No reason to have our DL drop into coverage.

The scheme works great against teams with mediocre coaching and/or inexperienced QBs. Not so well against veteran superbowl winning coaching staffs with experienced QBs prepared to handle it...

our talent and depth is above average.. i'm very concerned that Rex's inability to coordinate his LBs and DBs secondary in the face of a fast-paced spread offensive attack, has been exposed in 2 of our first 4 games by QBs savvy enough to adjust the play at the LOS. Eli put up modest numbers, but they moved the ball enough to play field position for 3 quarters.

'll wait until i see the all-22 before forming a strong opinion on what Rex was trying to accomplish in exposing the middle of our D to the run - by lining KW up over their OT in some 1st half schemes. not sure who we had on the field at the time, and where he was rolling his strength to, but it seems like Eli changed his call to a run through the box each time.

No, its worse then average.

The stats say the Bills are 30th in total defense, and have only 6 sacks so far 31st pass defense.

Wanna know which team was ranked 32nd in defense before this last game? The Giants!

Not only is this defense below average. The inmates are running the asylum, as some genius keeps having some of the highest paid pass rushers in the NFL drop into pass coverage
