Trick Shot QB Alex Tanney Signed to Practice Squad

Recommended Posts

Why do they call him Trick Shot?

I see I'm the 3rd person to post the video so <delete>

So in other words, the type of throws that EJ reportedly threw at camp.

I think the difference being that in the video, Tanney called it before he threw it. But when we had him in, he didn't look like "all that and a bag of chips" and we didn't keep him even as a camp arm, as I recall. He's obviously willing to work at his craft, though, so maybe the Titans taught him something.

Edit: not with the Titans long enough to learn from them. I don't know if it's a good sign that as a DIII guy, teams keep picking him up, or a bad sign that teams keep dropping him.

Those videos are all about time. Throw a ball a hundred plus times and you're bound to hit your shot. Edit it together and it looks great.

That's what I was thinking but goalpost/other goalpost/crossbar from 50 was a continuous shot, wasnt it?

Didn't the Bills have him in and pass on him 3 years ago?

fairly quickly too. maybe he is throwing with over inflated Balls now though. IMO the scouts must have some extra Bills Bucks they want to spend. i don't see any chance of this kid doing anything ever. except maybe throwing a salmon through a tire.

@mikerodak: Alex Tanney, the former DIII QB whose trick shot videos went viral in 2011, is taking a physical with the Bills,... http://t.co/JZPiysAaPp

@mikerodak: Alex Tanney went 18-of-25 passing this preseason with Titans for 2 TDs / 0 INT / 125.6 QB rating. QBs coach David Lee tried him out in 12.

now i am getting interested.

Whether Alex Tanney makes the Bills roster, or anyone else's roster; Why does It matter ? Let the coaches coach; Let the owners own. We are just the fans and let us just be the fans. And thankfully there are a lot of us. (Strength in numbers thing) The bigger question is; What do the disgruntled fans see in this young man that they truly hate about themselves ? Only asking, because old inquiring minds like mine would truly like to know.

I would rather watch that trick shot video a million times instead of watching most of the crap on TV and on these computers only once.

Thanks for posting the video "Rhode" It has found it's way into my favorites. And in closing;

You can tell by watching that video that the reactions from his friends and his team mates, are second to none. They enjoy being around him and that really is the best part of the video.
